Well after soaking for a weak I finely went nuclear with my carb. My choke plunger was frozen in the carb, and when I tried to pull it out I broke off the ears for the choke cable. Soaking didn’t to anything for me so we got serious. I ended up drilling and tapping it with a 6/32 tap and a home built slide hammer. Results are as such!!!! victory!!!

hey man thanks for the help here. I didn't even think about a continuity test on the wires. My main part that I am seeing that is bad is the wires as they go into the plugs in the battery compartment. I can definitely splice in and repair broken wires, but my main concern is the wires as they go into plugs. Finding what type of plug and things can be a nightmare to replace.

Lol yeah think those tires will hold air??? Thinking my first and most important issue is going to be chewed up wireing!!! Is there an easy way to replace the essential electronic components and "hotwire" it so I can cut out alot of possible issue to just see if it will run?

Hello all. Got a 92 Fourtrax given to me and I am about certain it will need new tires all around. Was sitting out in the weather for a decade. I have seen a lot of more square shaped tires the size I need and my only experience riding ATV is my dad Honda 200S three wheeler that has rounded tires. What would everyone recommend for this. Rounded or squared off?

Hello all thanks for the add. Just joining the quad game. Was giving this gem by a family member and jest a few hours after getting it in the garage it fell apart on my. 92 Honda 4trax I’m gonna try to bring back to life.

I only take my ring off when I am working on dirty nasty projects or when I might have a high chance of damaging it. I swear the second it comes off my wife is notified by the cosmos also.

Well I was fortunate enough that my uncle gave me an old quad that he had sitting around the farm. It’s been sitting out for 10+ years but good project for me to fix up. It was a Honda Fourtrax 300

Thanks that might help. The 2 years do have different PN’s but that will be something to look into. Also trying to get enough posts that I can download the manuals for both years also to look at the schematics -
Hello all. I have a 92 fourtrex 300 2 wheel drive that has been out in the IN weather for about 10 years. My main concern is mice and the wiring in it. I have tried looking up the main harness on several parts places and for a 92 they don’t have that year. I can find sets for 94. Does anyone know if there are major differences between the years that would make the 94 not work on a 92? Thanks.
