They can absolutely run hot but that seems too hot. You may have a bad ground somewhere or a bad battery, even though you got 12.6 V out of it.
-
Don't you have to take the big nut off like on a bike? Did you get it off?
-
Maybe clutch is out of adjustment? Is yours like this?

Happy Halloween! A great reason to share a older photo! Post your pics if you have them!

I am hoping people start migrating back to what made the internet so great for enthusiasts. It seemed you used to be able to find forums for just about anything you were into with hundreds of posts a day.
Me too. Big tech companies want everything. The problem is that they will never be as good as a site in a niche. The younger generation wants nothing to do with Facebook so the landscape is changing slowly.

So what's actually happening after you hit the reverse switch, it won't go into gear? Is yours like this?
-
So it bogs down when you hit the throttle off idle, correct? Is the choke working properly? Typically I would guess there is not enough fuel flow or fuel in the carb bowl so when you hit the throttle it goes dry but maybe you have a spark delivery issue.

Welcome to QUADCRAZY! Facebook has taken a toll on forums over the years but to your point, tracking what you post and the overall experience sucks. Nowadays I find that most people google search an issue and then find a site for a solution. You can never find it off google on facebook because its locked down. You'll find this site as with others has a lot of "help" topics. People come and don't hang around as much. They reserve that for other sites like facebook. We do have some long time members that are awesome. I'm a king quad fan, currently have a grizzly but always loved my king quad when I had it.
-
Yeah no rear shock on some of these, they bounce around on the tires, just don't over inflate them.
-
Yeah, very impressive and nice find! Those king quads last forever, my friend had one years ago and bought one in pretty good shape not too long ago.

I am however going to watch Joshua vs Usyk on Saturday since its on DAZN and I have that.
What a fight, my favorite fight this year. Usyk did an amazing job. He dominated a majority of the rounds and it was very technical. He deserved the win and along with Loma in that stable of fighters, the technical fakes and such are impressive. Joshua has 30 days to exercise his rematch, but the more I watch him, I think he's slipping for whatever reason and his hesitancy to mix it up and be more aggressive is apparent. The Andy Ruiz fight messed him up and he probably had flashbacks! Now he's lost the titles for the 2nd time and this time it wasn't a fluke, he got outboxed.

Watching the scuffle in slow motion i saw that neither fighter had their fists closed. All were slaps. That tells me it was either planned or they really have control of themselves. Cuz in a situation like that your normal instinct is to clinch fists.
Good point

Do yall think Canelos last presser scuffle was planned?
I think its possible to raise the drama, but they didn't plan on the glasses cutting Plant. I'd like to see Golovkin in there again with Canelo.
I'm not going to watch Canelo on PPV, I'll catch the round by round online. I am however going to watch Joshua vs Usyk on Saturday since its on DAZN and I have that.

I believe that your quad has a CVT system (belt drive) that changes gears automatically, as well as a separate (sub)transmission to change from forward to reverse/neutral gears.
Is that the system you have & is it a problem going from F-R-N?
Yes they should be. 2000-2005 Kodiaks are UltraMatic. Unless it's a Big Bear 400?

Yeah, that sounds pretty typical. Once it's broken in and gets the oil changed things should work just fine - hey, it's a Honda, no worries bud!
Yep, I agree and also on the point that its a Honda, so no worries!

1995 Yamaha Big Bear idle issue? Or clutch?

I would check your choke operation and idle screw. Sounds like idle is too high at operating temp.
