Guns, Archery, Hunting, Ect...

I did not mention that the Mosin Nagant I am holding was mfg in late 1945. It was the model 1944 carbine. It has seen military service in countless theaters of war; possibly most notably in the recent troubles in Kosovo. I would be remiss if if i did not point out that the 7.62 X 54mmR (Rimmed) is one of the few rimmed military rounds in use today. Probably most notably in the Dragunov sniper rifle. There is a 6.5 x54 mm R variant used in target rifles. -
I always have a driver when in Mexico. That was only time I drove a little. Sometimes my driver would make me sit in the rear so pan handlers in Guadalajara would not see me and pester him for money. One time my driver did not arrive to pick me up. Finally, after several hours another man showed up to take me to the job. He was in an ICA truck so I got in. He said my driver hit a chicken and was in jail until he made restitution to the owner. You got to laugh!

Bueno...GoooD Morning Puerto Vallarta...A Mexican Engineer and I drove there from Tepic, Mex. on a weekend. His wife and kids lived there. I stayed in a Hotel that was on the Beach. Had my hair braided, had my photo taken ( they live on Tip$$) and went surfing. Beaches are very clean. It's a great tourist town. Marlin Fi$hing i$ great there if you can afford it. A White shirt cop stopped me said I ran a red light. ( White shirt police are tourist friendly ...LOL..and speak English.) . The police wanted to search me or go to police sub station. Fortunately i had my Mexican friend the Engineer with me. He got them to just take my US driver license and a give me a ticket. My hotel Concierge told me that he would go to police station and pay the ticket and get my drivers license.. He said it was not wise for me to go. He did pay the ticket but could not get my driver's license. He said they probably sold it. The people in Puerto Vallarta, as in most of Mexico, are friendly and honest. I had to pee while we were driving. My friend pulled up to a private residence. We walked up and he knocked on the door. He explained to the lady ho lived there. She did not hesitate and smiled at me as she let me in to use her house bathroom. Oh MY!

The short barrel is handy moving around in tree stands or just sitting in the crotch of a live Oak. I have my S&W trooper that i ry to get a hog with. But if she / He gets out too far the 742 can reach out and touch them. I took the Marlin 30-30 a couple times. -

So here are . My 'Big Push" guns...Sorry no 300 H&H..LOL My favorite big bang rifle is of course the Mosin Natgant Mdl 91 ..54 mm at bottom , The SKS with the original Chinese stock lying above it. Above that is my Para trooper 6.5 mm Carcano. The M-1 is the best shooter of the four. I love the feel of 54 mm when it cuts loose. It is rock solid. The action is crip and tight. I found it is more accurate with the bayonet extended...but that may just be me. I love working the targets in the concrete pit on the 300 yd range with the lead popping the paper above my head. -

GOOD Morning Family Reunion Attendees...Yes its time to get ready for that Family reunion...I need to loose aa few more pounds OMG! But plan ahead. Watch old family videos, go through old photo albums so you know who everybody is or was ?? Get your spiel set up: Why aren't you married...I have not met the right guy yet Do you go to church every Sunday?....yes my Priest remembers our family. I have a picture of my priest and me to show. Do you live by yourself? ........Yes, I work from home so I don't like distractions. Go over to where the old men are sitting. Talk to the old men. They love to talk about guns and fishing and it keeps me away from nosey Aunts who want to question me or "fix ' me up with some guy. And remember don't drink too much. I talk too much when I drink and tell things you shouldn't tell. When they square dance partner with Uncle Clyde as he is a good square dancer.

Goood Morning Mr. Florida Snapper turtle...Came across this guy crawling out of a pond this morning while on my morning bike ride. stopped and got his pic. I made the mistake one day of trying to move a snapper off the road when i was bike riding. He almost got me. (Florida law says you must move gofer turtles off road if you see them. They are endangered due to Venereal disease...WTH..LOL) This guy will take you finger clean off with one bite. His jaw force is 1,000 psi

The indexing hole in the metal control supplied was sloppy...I like tight. I had to shim the hole so the manual control would not move when twisted to open / close winch.
-
The manual winch switch is rated at 50 A; however, the terminals on the back are close together.. I used thick shrink tubing over the screw terminal connectors seen here.
