Hmmm ....what plugged it may be a question...Oil burning motors , fuel mixtures will plug it.

I was curious as to how you measured the temperature. I check temperatures with an infra red scanner. It performs like a Type K thermocouple when plugged into a Fluke temperature device. Anyways, if you have that OR SIMILAR device checking various points around muffler may indicate areas that are plugged.

Pugged catalytic. Not that uncommon. If you totally By-Pass it the performance may also be affected. There are several internet posts on muffler heat issues on Polaris, et al.

Spark test devices are nice. I like more tools...LOL BUt getting it to fire is a great even with starting fluid is good starting point. This is a 2 cycle motor. Fuel mixture is important. Is the spark plug 'wet' ?

Is the spark plug wet with gas after trying to start? That would prove gas is getting into cylinder. You can use starter fluid to introduce fuel into carburetor. just to see it fire... Wow that's perplexing

Have you ever reblued a spot where the gun had just a smaller than a match head rust. I have a pistol that has a rust spot . I keep it oiled of course. it's one of my favorites and keep it at my bed so I handle it a lot.

so what bluing or additional finishing should i do to the Hopkins revolver

ALso being a cheap--- , frugal person, I treated my 2 x6 trailer deck with used motor oil. OK i can hear some laughter...So when I backed my sand rail up on the trailer with the 1966 VW motor pulling the front wheels up the ramps, the tires spun and the sand rail went sideways toward the edge ...OMG. IT was close...I am going to treat the boards with some traction paint and maybe a low guard rail along the edge,

Do you have a Brake proportioning valve in the system ? If so check You tube for resetting that to bleed system.

Some brake calipers have two (2) brake bleed ports. One is high and one low. They do that so the caliper mounting can be varied. Bottom line is if you have two (2) ports use the upper port. With the brake line removed from the caliber and hose attached to line and submerged in brake fluid press brake. You should get steady fluid flow without bubbles. I have done bleeding using a clamp pushing and holding break. However, i like removing caliper and bleeding using my kit.

OK I admit i am a chicken#@$T when it comes to loading my equipment ..sandrail or SxS .. onto the trailer. I am usually by myself also. So unless i have a banked unloading area to back up against (I am very good at backing a trailer) I load and unload from the front of the trailer. I made 36 X 18 inch ramps that hook onto the trailer front. They are 3 inch angle with 2 x's . I am going to add texture paint to them as my sand rail likes to spin the smooth wheels. I added two more 2 x6's after this pick for safety as the front end slipped off when loading one day. They are easier for me to lift than long ramps. OMG..I never thought of that...I have done a lot of Fiberglass repair. I have an Epoxy (slick racing) paddleboard that i have repaired . Plus i rebuilt the nose on my cousins paddle board.. I don't paddle board race but gives me a chance to wear my Bikini ...LOL The Banana River Mangrove hammocks are one of my favorite paddle boarding places. The West Marine epoxy is pricey but wow is it full proof to use. Moreover, they love to talk to neophytes like me.

BTW the electric brake Kit was nice. It was complete with bearings and seals also. It had two sets of seals as some Dexter axles were different. I ordered new tires mounted on rims from amazon. The Southwest site also had online help for dummies like me...

They had one a year ago. However, i cannot find it listed now. I have not worked on Outsside/ finished repairs. I would probably use a Vinyl decal or sheet to cover. I have tried reinforcing ABS broken mounting tabs with Epoxy glue and metal. That did not hold well. Welding appears to be best. I'll look at Harbor Freight ...And Wal Mart ha-ha I have Wal Mart stock.

Wow great issue. I was looking at the Dewalt plasitc welder. A lot depends on the type of plastic. The fairing on my Kawsaki is ABS plasitc. I have been using my soldder gun to repair internal mounting pieces. I use pieces of scrap ABS plastic as a "filler rod". That helped. Would love to know if the Dewalt is a good option.

OK found ES midel..it is carburaated air cooled. The main complaints with smoking are: 1 water in the exhaust manifold which will clear up . 2. Carburetor mis adjustment One complaint had white smoke and after a while oil coming out of Muffler.

What is the exact model? I was looking at the 2007 Honda 500 foreman. That is what was on a heading.

There are some good 'You tube videos on 500 Honda Foremen coolant inspection / maintenance. Check those out. I could not find anything under Problems with the 2007 500 foreman having a systemic smoking problem problem. I am sure that is a nice machine manual transmission I believe .

OK i forgot to mention I use my Dremel tool with a buffing or a coarse buff brush. Herewith is a picture of the same revolver after using the Dremel tool. I am going to consult with my gunsmith about what finish would be best.
