Is there a specific section or thread where ohv riders can say that they want to meet up on a certain day or certain area? Im not talking about general discussion
What I mean is someone posts that they are going to the trails of no return and other riders say ok we will join you sort of like rsvping to a party?

a 99 Dodge Ram 250 cargo van. Bought a couple of tri-fold ramps. No need for all that trailer nonsense.
Only problem is you can't drive up the ramps or else you will get scalped
No pics yet

Try finding public land on Long Island, NY. Only a couple of MX tracks and im not paying $1000 - $1300 a year to ride on them. What does NY do with my and the thousands of other ATV registration money it collects?? NY sucks

The red tab unlocks the helmet from the foam section. its behind the chin strap. Sounds innocent right? Its for when an EMT has to remove your helmet but doesnt want to move your neck after an accident. Trouble is its one time use only then you have to replace it.

No more V1

Anyone going to RAC in a few weeks?
-
OK so even before I start my quad, I was tooling around with my nice shiny Fox V1 helmet.
I found out that your not supposed to pull out the little red emergency tab.
I went back to the dealer very red faced and explained to them what happened. They were going to swap out my helmet for a new one to make things quick and easy but the didn't have any more in stock.
So now I have a new helmet a HJC CL-X6 Frenzy. I like the fit of this helmet better. This helmet doesnt have the red quick release tab but that might be a good thing in my case/
Lesson learned.

Im just waiting for my access pass to RAC in PA. All my riding equipment is now purchased. I have a tow vehicle. My insurance is set too!
I can hardly contain myself. My first time riding a quad with a clutch and over 200cc !!

Found a helmet at a different dealer. its a Fox V1 and is DOT and Snell rated. He also knocked off $20 because I had a problem with this other dealer and he said he gets alot of their customers due to poor customer service!

I was reading an article about how the dot testing is better than snell because the snell tests make manufacturers design hemets that are too rigid. The dot test tells manufaturers to design a more flexible outer shell. In theroy the softer shell absorbs some of the decelration that occurs in a crash. This was the article in a nutshell minus the technical sh**.
I know im looking into this more than i should but i dont want to end up dying because i picked the wrong helmet

Yeah cant say say the 4R100 is a strong tranny though. Im on my 3rd and now 1-2 shifts are getting harsh again. Time for #4
Haha put 700r4 instead of 4R100 woops. Head was stuck in my chevy days

I have a 99 F450 with a 7.3L Diesel. I have over 205,000k on it and weighs in at 11,600lbs. It still pulls hard too!

I was checking out helmets today and I was talking to the salesman today. He stated that DOT helmets are better quality than Snell rated because Snell is a private company. He could of been no more than 25 yo. He also couldnt answer my tech questions about helmets. But was trying to sell me helmets with "BITCHIN BRO" graphics on em.
Doing my own research confused me even more
What is the real world difference between the two ratings and does it matter on the trails?
is a $400 dollar DOT helmet better than a $150 Snell rated helmet?
What are the brands you guys/gals use and why?
Where is a good place to buy them?
Easiness to return them?
Why are my above sentences getting shorter with each question?
Thanks Everyone

Hi and welcome to QuadCrazy. I am right in the middle of Reading Anthracite's riding area. There is a little bit of every kind of riding in it. I don't ride on their grounds myself anymore, but rode there all the time when I was younger.
Ive seen youtube videos from RAC and it looks beautiful over there!
I read alot of forums that complain about the RAC $125 permit price but thats a helluva lot less that the $1000 - 1200 per year pass just to ride on a man made track on LI.
-
Welcome to QUADCRAZY! What part of LI are you from?
Im from Bay Shore

I just read the owners manual for my 2003 400ex and they recommend 92 octane for a stock motor

Hi Everyone
I bought my first clutch quad - a 2003 Honda 400ex in May. I have never rode it before because I am on the Land of NO-NOTHING concerning ATVs.
I also have a Yamaha 200 Shaft Moto4 that is in Delaware County at my parents place. The land up there is being developed and most of the trails are gone. I don't ride up there anymore.
I would like to ride out in PA at Reading Anthracite. Anyone go there? If anyone is from LI,
would I be able to hitch a ride (quad too) as I dont have a tow vehicle yet. Im working on it. I would pay my own way and then some.
Thanks
RAC parcel locator URGENT

I just received my access pass to RAC and got the parcel locator with tax id#s. How the hell do you find trails with that??. Also the yellow access permit. Does that get carried with me or is that the one that goes in the tow vehicle. There is nothing in the package that says "parking permit": aargh:
I would like to go out there this sunday. Anyone have a GPS location or directions for where I could park?
Anyone going to be there this weekend?
