hey knight.....bet you remember the "oh sh**" horn on the saddle to hang onto also.....thats exactly what it's for!! LOL...our old mare before this one was part blind and something spooked her in the practice arena right before a class at a show and boy, I was sure holding on to the "oh sh**" horn for dear life!! That poor girl, she's about 27 years old now and still going strong, just does not show anymore.....

Does his model have a non-concentric swingarm? If he has this, the tension constantly changes as the swingarm moves up and down, thus overtightening during riding. It's either too tight, or as Mario said, the sprockets are misaligned. The next chain he snaps may end up in the back of his head or through the engine block, not to mention damaging the tranny. he needs to "cool it" during the break in period too or his new sprockets will be toast in no time. You did'nt specify which model he has, only the year and cc's. Hope this helps!

yep, sure is a good old kawi.......heck Jeff, you got yours done way before mine and I have had mine longer than you....I did have it running for a short time,,,kept pitting the piston crown and I found little pieces of metal on the spark plug tip also....gotta replace the rod and bearings and it should run again....I'm not in a hurry as of yet...too muddy and too cold,BUT, this thing screams when it runs!!! Probably by the time you can ride again after your surgery is when this will be running too...LOL!

yep, got a winch, just glad you guys got it right and did not say "wench",,,,LOL...nothing but rain here still and lots of mud.........got a plow too but the bikes not 4wd and the weight of the plow on the front too heavy so it does not work very well,,,,Mario said try using sandbags, will try that if we ever get any snow, if not,,,,off to Craigslist the plow goes.....
