  1. :laugh:thats a good one. I am a long way from a philosipher. Just a dude that likes to have a good time.:biggrinjesterc::cheer:

you have to have a good time otherwise whats the point. can t worry about if something might happen because you never know. ya you might not make it up that hill and end up rolling down it but how will you ever know unless you try.

  2. Well i finally got it on. went out and it took a whole 5 minutes. the snap ring went right on no problem at all. i don t understand how i could struggle so much one time and the next its easy as that. going to go for a test ride after work today. so hopefully everything holds together. And also 2 seconds after i got the new snap ring on i bought i found the one that went MIA on me. thats how it works sometimes i guess.

  3. accidents happen, don't be so hard on yourself. I have a lot of unexpected deceleration moments, unexpected gravitational pull variances, and some other unexpected planetary involvment incidents :aargh:. The only thing I really learned was how to fall better, because I know it is gonna happen again. Wear safety gear, stay alert and be ready for the unexpected. Ride to have fun and you will have fun riding.

Well put Wylde . sometimes the best thing to do is fall in style. make it look good. then try again. LOL

  4. it is nice to get feedback from people who understand. it was a really stupid accident and regret that it happened. i feel like my skills are better than that, or i just should have avoided that area all together.

    live and learn, right?

thats how you learn . you can t wreck and be done . you have to get back on and remember not to do it again or try and conquer it. if everyone quit when they wrecked nobody would be riding. sh** happens weather you cause it or not. its the best way to learn. hope you recover quickly so you can get out and ride again.

  5. lol i thought that would be bad due to the excessive power of a car running compared to the power needed on a quad.... well then i guess ill be stocking up on spark plugs

i see well then i guess ill look at getting another marine battery.

Side bar; Jerod you wouldnt by chance know anything about the gas pump would you?

i wouldn t by a battery made for a boat. the electrical systems on a boat and quad are different and a boat battery won t charge its self. and if your worried about it going dead while trying to start it just hook it up to a trickle chargeer it will be enough to keep the battery charged.

  6. as far as the gas pump goes i don t know about that. if your tire is going flat air it up and put some soapy water all around it. where ever its leaking you will see bubbles . if its on the tread part you can probably just put a tire plug in it. if its on the side wall you ll have to patch it. or there might be some dirt around the rim. sometimes if you air it up really good you can hear where its leaking and you might not need the soap water. if your battery is for a boat chances are its a marine battery and they don t charge from your machine. you have to manually charge it. as far as maintenance make sure you check that the oil is good. and if its liquid cooled check the anti freeze. if it has grease fitings make sure you grease them good. not sure if theres anything else wrong with it but if you need anymore help let me know or theres lots of good people on here that know what their doing.

  7. im still trying to get my chain on my raptor. i ve been trying to get the master link on my chain the last couple days . i got it shortened to the right length and got the out side plate to snap on . no i m just trying to get the snap ring on. the first one broke in half. the second one snaped off and flew across my shed somewhere. and i had one more and got it ,sat down to put on and it MIA . have no idea where it went to. i m going to pull my hair out soon. i got all my other parts on but that. i just want to get it done so i can ride. :aargh:

  8. At least you guys go out and do what you enjoy. Yes its safe to watch tv on a couch but what does that do for your brain? Atvs are like pitbulls, the general public thinks atv riders are an insane bunch. Ive been riding for 27 years and can say i had alot of close calls. People around me frown on atvs but i dont care. id rather live a short life getting thrown off a quad than a longer life of work, eat, sleep and repeat. My father did the latter and is now a retired angry miserable man with no hobbies. Get back on that steel horse and ride!!!

i agree people don t understand that sometimes things happen. you just have to learn what to do or what not to do next time. i ve had lots of close calls too. you just learn from your mistakes and move on. keep riding , one little wreck doesn t mean you have to quit riding. you have just as big of a chance getting hurt driving down the road in a car as you do a quad. i hope you can have a speedy recovery so you can get out and ride with your little girl again.
