I have a Suzuki lt185 and she is sounding like a cammed diesel after installing a new carb. Would running it like this be bad I can definitely adjust if needed but it if won’t cause damage why change it. IMG_5131.MOV

Hi people, just bought a Suzuki LT185 that has a disc brake rear end and need a rebuild kit for the master cylinder but cant find any parts lists that show a disc brake for these bikes, they only list a drum brake, does anyone know what year they came out with a disc on the back? Any info appreciated!

My searches online led me here. It’s great to see forums still alive, I used to be on a few others with a different focus. I am curious how much oil is needed for the 87 LT 185. I just picked this up before the snow really starts falling here and to let my kids use it. It’s going to need some carb tweaks or cleaning too because I have to keep it somewhat choked to make sure it doesn’t stall. I wanted to see if anyone had insight on how much oil is needed when changing it? It’s been sitting for over a year and the last guy bought for his kid and he rode it a few times. please let me know

Hello everyone, My Suzuki LT185 didn't come with a battery from the factory (no electric start). I was wondering if I would need to add a battery if I wanted to install some of those light bars/pods or should I just wire it in to the headlight switch? Will the generator be able to put out enough juice to run the light bar? Also, is it normal for the headlight to get dim at idle, then brighter when driving? Never had a quad before with just a generator. Thanks!

Hello eeveryone, Just picked up an 86 Suzuki LT185 for my daughter, and she's complaining that it bounces so bad over bumps that it nearly throws her off the quad. I have the tire pressures some where around 3 psi. I really can't go any lower than that. I noticed that there isn't anything in the aftermarket world for shocks and springs for this quad. I am wondering what others are doing to soften up the ride. Also wondering if there's a way to fabricate a rear shock, since there isn't one. I appreciate your feedback. Thanks!
