2003 Artic Cat 250 4x4 leaking gas under carb

Gas leak under carb, have checked fuel line and is ok. Friend was riding it not knowing that the choke was on fully could that something to do with the leak? possibly needs the carb drained from float valve? if so how do you get to it in order to check?? HELP IN OHIO!! More SNOWis coming and I use my ATV to plow driveway!!

I assume this fuel is coming out of one of the hoses coming off of your carb, correct? Sounds like your float is stuck, or the float vavle is not seating properly. You just need to take the float bowl off the bottom of the carb off to get to it. It is easier if you take the carb off, but you can get to it without taking it off on some machines. First though, you might just try tapping the float bowl with a screwdriver handle and see if that helps free up the float.

Thanks for the advice!! My nephew came over and helped me take the carb off. Much easier,cleaned and drained float and needle valve . Works great!! Thanks again!!

You are welcome, we are glad to help. One questiont though, you say you drained the float? If it was full of fuel, did you patch up the hole that was letting fuel in? If not the float could just fill up with fuel again.
