BuckBilly's 2009 Honda Rubicon ride report.

I bought an 09 Ruby about three weeks ago. Only have 30 miles on it. I will share my opinion of it with you.
It has a 499 cc liquid cooled engine. Part time four wheel drive. Automatic tranny with High and low range. With the ability to be in auto or thumb shift mode.
The tranny is very smooth. It's a hydro stat transmission.I mostly use auto mode, but when I have used ESP mode I also like that feature.
Going into 4x4 mode is also smooth. Engine braking is unbelievable!!!! Handling for trail and dirt road riding is outstanding!! Stock tires work great for stockers. Ergonomics are also great(for me).

I have added a 2500 lbs winch. I will be adding hand guards, and a snowplow soon. I currently modifying the plow from my old Ozark to fit. I have widen it from 46 inch to 58 inch wide. Looks like something out of a Mad Max movie.

So, I take it you are pretty happy with the new ride then? Lets see some pics when you get the Mad Max look completed.

I'm really happy with it. Get some pic when I get the snow plow built and it stops raining.
