1990 Warrior 350 carb issue

After my girlfriend rides for an hour or so the carb starts duming fuel out of the bottom and top lid like the float is stuck. Its done it two rides in a row now. I get it home and pull the carb and the float seems to be working fine. Anyone have any idea what I can look at next to try to figure this out? Is there any adjustability in the float level? Is there any way to check the floats functioning to shut the fuel off like on a Holley? We want to do some day rides but if it isnt reliable I dont want my girlfriend following me deep into the back country if it's going to dump fuel onto the trails.

I would inspect the float for anything on the float body and the inside of the carb that could be causing it to hang up and also look for holes in the float, if it begins to get a little fuel inside, it wont float like it is supposed to. You may not be able to see any holes or cracks, so it may be a good idea to take the float and submerge it in gasoline for a few hours and see if it ends up with any gas in the float. I would also take a look at the float stopper, make sure the rubber tip is soft and undamaged and make sure the seat area is clean and unubstructed. Another thing I would look for is debris in the fuel or float bowl.

sounds like it may be passing crud thru to the needle and seat... I'd put a small filter in-line [available at any bike shop] and that might solve your problem. Kinda strange that it would start AFTER it has been ridden awhile, unless the riding is stirring up some debris in the tank... fuel filter will solve that.

If you can, buy some non-ethanol fuel [we have it here at the pumps] it'll make your rubber parts last longer. Ethanol, otherwise known as alcohol, loves to eat up rubber parts! I have 2 ATCs I have to rekit cuz of that ethanol, so only non ethanol fuel from now on... it's like 103 octane and runs $3.79/gal in the tourist trap where I live...

I messed with it some more and it got worse. I ordered a petcock kit and a carb kit. The petcock doesnt work for crap either. I was told the guy I bought it from rebuilt the carb right before I bought it. maybe not or not right. If I can do 4 barrel holleys Im sure I can do this little single.

Hi, I am having issues with my TRX350D fuel pump.  It suddenly stopped running so I have replaced all the fuses and cleaned all the terminals.  I have fitted a new pump, fuel cut-off relay and rectifier.  Still nothing!!  The pump runs when attached to a battery.  The engine will start on the choke and the filter fills with fuel but it will  not rev and dies when the choke is closed. I have power to the relay but nothing at the pump black/white wire when cranking the engine.  Any ideas where to go from here would be very much appreciated!!

2022 Sector 550, 414 miles on it and the gas gauge reads empty.  I topped off the gas and it didn't change.
There is no fuse that I could find.  No access at the gauge cluster.
Wiring on the top of the tank looks good, properly connected.
Could the sending unit in the tank be stuck or broken?
Has anybody removed the tank lid?  Any tricks?
      Any other ideas?
      Thanks for any help,
      Clyde

      Hi Guys!

New member and could really use your advice. I would have to believe this has been an issue for others but a search here came up with nothing......? (Probably me not doing search correctly)

      I have an 87 Big Bear 350 YFM350FWT
The OEM Mikuni BTM carb is shot and would rather replace than rebuild.
It is no longer made and I have had good luck with NICHE carbs so I ordered a #K-CRB-0006 This was what they said was replacement when ordered. This Carb only uses 1 Throttle cable. The Slide is linked so it uses one. (OEM had 2nd cable coming through top to move slide)

Problem is when I ordered a replacement Cable from NICHE (#C-CBL-0061) the Cable wire is a little short, not allowing Throttle to return all the way down to Idle position. I called NICHE and they are at a loss. Haven't gotten back to me after 2+ weeks.

What would you recommend other than a carb rebuild?
Can I just use 1 of the OEM cables (It is the right length) and snip/disconnect the other that went to top of Carb for Slide?
      Or ??

Thanks in advance for any advice you have!!

I’m looking for a top end kit for a Yamaha. I would like to see how well the engine runs before spending $6-$7 hundred on oem. Niche has complete kits from $1-$2 hundred.  Anyone have experience with Niche or similar Chinese companies?
