What's the best way to fix this?...

ATV%20CRACK_zpsvjksq4mz.jpg

Best idea so far is to clean it all up, sand the bottom side real good and find a piece of durable plastic I can shape and form to the bottom, and sand it as well. Then hold it all together somehow and epoxy the formed plastic to the bottom side. After curing, drill holes on both sides of the crack and thread wire through like shoelaces for support, pull tight and tie off.

Seems like I read about some kind of goop you could use in this situation but I forget what it was called. I believe it would take the place of the epoxy.

Right now I need advice on what kind of plastic to use and how to source it, as well as what kind of epoxy.

I'm all ears.

You can buy a plastic mesh. It is for some kind of craft. Where u take the short pieces of yarn and make a picture. It is just a white plastic mesh and you can cut that to the size you want. The take a hear gun and slowly melt it into the ATV plastic. I have done it and it works great if you take ur time. If u melt it too quick, then it is just stuck to the surface and will fall off the next time u run. Too slow and you melt the plastic piece. But you will probably take 5-10 minutes per area. Also if u go too slow if you spot with the heat gun u can burn it.

Or drill a hole on each size and put a zip tie through them. Wire might work too

But that looks like a foot well. Why not just buy a new one? It would be like $20 of eBay for a used one.

Hi all, does anyone know what type of plastic is used for making ATV fairings.
In particular Suzuki Quadrunner 1992, if i cannot get a plastic for it in Red for the rear i will attempt repair.
I have a King Chrome plastic welding kit, however you need to know what type of plastic you are welding.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I hadn't driven my Kodiak for a two months, and since it was low on fuel, the first thing I did was filled it up to maybe 7/8 full. Getting ready to start it, I rotated the fuel selector switch to "on" and within seconds I smelled and saw fuel dripping onto the floor. I quickly turned it off and the fuel gradually stopped - I can repeat this.
The fuel is flowing from the hose that is connected to the bottom of the carb, and routes around to the left side toward the wheel well. Any idea what's going on here? It ran fine the last time I had it out.
      Thanks...

I am not sure if there is a part number or a name for the end covers to make it easier to look for replacements on these.
Missing both so would be nice to see if there is actually a replacement part for just the covers.

My 2018 Polaris Sportsman engine operation feels jumpy when I ride. It happens when I am trying to keep constant speed and throttle is fixed position. ATV will misfire and feel jumpy. Not smooth..
Idle is good more or less. Will always crank up on first attempt.

I am thinking to start using carbon cleaner.

Any different between the Polaris carbon clean and Seafoam?

      Scrub brushes didn't work.
Pressure washer was able to remove the high spots and leave a nice consistent orange.
Sent the cylinder out for a new sleeve and it came back shotblasted clean.
Wire brush and elbow grease does the best so far, now using drill attachment with wire brush.
What else besides scotch brite pads and detergent is out there?
