2000 Explorer 400 A00CG38CA Replacing head gasket

I would only recommend a gasket sealer on the base gasket only if the cylinder is off. The head gasket is designed with compression pockets that flatten out when the head is tightened down sealing any slight voids.

I highly recommend tightening then head down with a torque 🔧 to the engine manuals specs.

Just picked up a 2003 Yamaha Kodiak 450 ATV. Doesn't run and it's been sitting out in a field for a while faded bodywork, seat's a mess, dead but it rolled so I figured for $100 what the hell, SOLD! I have no idea what could be wrong with it, first thing I guess is hook up a battery and see what happens. I'll likely be back here with questions for the forums collective experience. Live in the Santa Cruz Mts and sure could use a little work horse like this quad to haul stuff up and down my steep property. Thanks in advance.
Hope you all have a great Thanksgiving!

New here, I am having trouble with my bike overheating. The temp light is working but the fan will not run. The fan will only run
with the ignition in the off position (Key removed).   Not sure how this is possible. Also having electrical problems and it will ruin a battery (if not
disconnected) about every 3 months. Any help/ideas would be greatly apricated. Thanks in advance

Hey guys! Stoked to be here because ive found its pretty hard to get help for mini quads
I recently bought a mini quad (it's a piece of poop so i have no clue the make) and it ran perfectly fine. I was running it a few weeks ago all day and it worked fine and the next day when i went to start it, the kickstart bar was super hard to push down but i could still do it, then it would skip and finish off hard to push down.
I have fairly intermediate mechanic abilities so i was able to pull off the cover and start playing around. it seems the kickstart spring is fine but i noticed a bunch of metal shavings. long story short i posted pictures and took a video of how things are kind of running. i assume the gears started grinding and now they wont catch fully, hence the skipping?
Also, im aware the main gear on the left has broken teeth, i found out the hard way when i tried to take off the nut and the teeth broke.
