Hey all, new to the forum here and ATV's in general and looking for some help.

Was doing some riding today, nothing major, just around the farm, when all of a sudden my electric start stopped working on me. Thought that was really weird but I pull started it and kept going. Then all of a sudden about 25 min later I lost all electrical power all together and was stranded. Could this be just the battery??? I am thankful for whatever info you can throw my way.

Could be the battery, might have not had enough juice to crank the starter and then just completely ran out of charge. The easiest way to test that is to charge the battery and then see if it starts or jump it with a 12v starter pack or jumper cables. If it starts, its the battery. If not, you may have an electrical problem.

Could it be the stator? I've read that those dont fail often but when they do they give no warning. Also, it is unable to start at all, not even pull start, is that normal?

Bayou 300 need a full charge on the battery. Even to pull start it From my experience. And there is a 30 amp fuse under the seat. First charge/test that battery the main fuse should be right by the battery. After those confirm OK if the bike still doesn't work. Get an electrical schematic and start chasing wires it really sounds like a ground of some sort. To lose everything on a working bike out of nowhere seems like a fuse or ground and maybe the battery is dead.

Hi, I have been around everything with a motor since I was little, and finally purchased more to get my husband, and kids involved. I have 4 quads I will be searching around for information on. I have two 2002 Suzuki LT80K quads, a 1997 Yamaha Timberwolf 250, and a 1996 Kawasaki Bayou 220. I have had different ones throughout the years, and plan on buying another Yamaha Banshee. I plan on trying to learn more about all of them, so I can customize some of them. I know nothing about them besides how to race them, my dad always took care of the rest, but figured it was time for me to learn.

I am new to this site. I have a 1987 Suzuki LT230S Quadsport I think. Is there a difference between quadsport and quadrunner?

      Hello All
I'm kinda new to ATVs. I just bought a 1987 Suzuki quad runner 230 Dual Range. I'm having a problem finding info on it. It's very clean, only 2.800 miles. The front wheels are only 30 in.center to center. I was thinking about adding wheel spacers to give it more stability. I realize the added stress on ball joints and bearings. I'm wondering if there are any other concerns? Any input is greatly appreciated!

I like to ride in wooded and grassy areas. It takes my mind off the everyday routines and helps me deal with my father's cancer. Also gives me a reason to get involved with forums like this one.

Hi my name is Greg and I just acquired a free 2000 yamaha kodiac 400 4x4 with the ultramatic transmission that does not run. I plan to get it going and use it around my property
