So need some recommended maintenance I should do with my 1998 Foreman 450ES.  I didn't get much info as to what had been done so what's the things I should perform to start me from square one?  I'm not a mechanical genius but can do the basics.  I did adjust the toe today so I'm not a nooby.

I would start by changing the oil, grease all fittings including the steering connections, tie rods etc.   Then pull the differential fluids and change. They are often over looked.

Maybe a fresh spark plug.

Check the air pressure and you should be good to go.

I did all the above except greasing, there are no fittings on these older Hondas.  I was told to get a needle to put on my grease gun so I can inject grease into the ball joints, tie rods, and CV joints.

You can inject the grease but just put on a rubber glove and put it all around the fitting. I’m not so keen on making a hole in the rubber if it’s not needed.

Also don't forget the differential fluids.

How does it run and look ? Post a few pics. I’m a fan of the older bikes.

I am unable to find a wiring diagram for this UTV.  When I turn the switch to on, the contractor does not engage.  The Brake pressure switch and the parking brake switches work correctly. What else should I be looking for?  All of the diagrams I have found are for newer models and the wire color coding is different.

      Thanks

Just getting into this issue really. Been replacing solenoids but now I'd like to track down the problem. This time I'm not getting neutral/reverse lights or start button. Was on a creek ride when it started doing this recently. It cranks by arcing the solenoid and gives me no light or start button but if I crank with the pull cord....the neutral light and the button work. Turn it off and try to crank with the key and nothing. I'm looking into the safety switch issue tomorrow and re charging the battery. Just figured this was odd enough of a problem that you guys might be familiar. Thanks

Hi guys, I have a 2004 big bear 400. Last winter while plowing the driveway, I heard a loud pop from the left side of the engine. It continued to run as I looked for leaky fluid, but then died shortly after backing it up and won’t start now. The oil light comes on when I try to start it, no noise or anything else.
No blown fuses that I can find.
