So I’ve had this bike for 3 years now. Love it. But there’s one question I never got an answer to. And maybe by now somebody’s figured it out...

The instrument cluster has 5 screens... Odometer, Trip, tach, battery voltage, and a screen that says “L 16H 8”. Does anyone know what the sh** this means? See pic. 7922f48f3a6a6c332d0ae35edd8172fa.jpg

It’s never changed. And those aren’t words. Hahah

Stands for "Light" and its the screen to supposedly adjust the back light brightness.

Edited your topic title to include ATV manufacturer and "L 16H 8", mostly for others searching 😎

Huh. I had no idear. [emoji23][emoji23] thanks!

So I’m assuming it’s currently at an 8 brightness. I’ll have to check it out my next chance.

Just picked up an 84 LT185 ATV, I understand there was an accessory add  on that gave it electric start, anyone have any info about that kit?

Hi all.  New to the forum & quads.  Seems like a great place full of info.
I just recently picked up a 2005 Suzuki KingQuad LTA700.  I need a battery.  I've been reading up on conventional vs AGM types.  I have a Royal Distributing and Canadian Tire.  RD has 2 types avail for my year/Model a battery YTX16-BS CRANK $75, and BATTERY YTX20CH-BS YUASA $140.  Neither of these is the type from the manual FTZ16-BS.
from what I can tell... I think the only difference is the capacity with the $75 unit rated at 14 AH/10HR and the $140 unit rated at 18 AH/10HR ... which is the rating in the manual for the FTZ16-BS.  How much does this make a difference for nearly x2 the cost?
And about the models/type numbers.... what is important to know ... they all end in "-BS" but are the other details relevant or just manufacturer naming?

I have a 1997 Yamaha Big Bear 350 4x4. It used to start right up. Then all of a sudden it wouldn't crank. I have a schematic for it so I started tracing the problem. I had no power at the starter solenoid. According to the schematic the power comes from the neutral switch and through the starter circuit cut out relay. I cannot locate the cut out relay on this machine.. If I apply power to the relay it will crank with the start button.
The neutral switch is hard to get to with all the brackets on this thing. I did find out from all my research that if I apply the rear brake lever it will start.
Does anybody know if the cut out relay exists and where it might be found?

Just picked up a 2006 Dvx400. There is a switch I can't figure out what it is or where it goes. Has 3 wires (light blue, black and Yellow)
