Hi Guys,
I purchased a 2001 Kawasaki prairie 400 for my son, the machine runs great but had issues with bent rims. I bought a set online knowing that I would need 2" wheel spacers for the rear tires. My issue now is the hub (lug) studs are too short for the spacers that I have. Does anyone know where I can get longer studs that have the same pitch as stock? OEM studs are 10mm x 29.5mm with 1.25mm pitch, I'm most likely looking to get 10mm x 44mm studs.
Any help would be appreciated.

Anybody have a part number for these or are they only available as an entire hub assembly. I have 2 broken and I was able to get 2 loose from Auto Zone. Even though they fit the lug nut, the knurled part of the stud is smaller than the factory ones and they spin until friction takes effect when tightening the nut. The ones they sell are a M10-1.25.
Also any advice on the wheel dust caps? On Yamaha parts, there are 2 parts list for this model with 4 wheel drive. One shows nothing while one shows a part number of 52H-2512A-00-00. I'm wondering how durable and well they fit. My son game me 4 with a part number of 5GT-2512A-00. Those fit on the wheels but they seem like they will fall off on the first bump. Before I spend $48 dollars on dust caps, I want to make sure I won't lose them on the trail.
Thanks in advance.

Greetings,
I have a 2000 Trailboss 325 2x4. In years past I've always put rear chains on it to help with some of the thaw/freeze that happens during snow plowing season. Chains work well when I remain on concrete but a frozen pond is another issue. Last year I decided to plow the adjacent pond for ice skating. Having the plow blade on the ice pretty much prevents me from anything but very wide turns.
Any tips on plowing a frozen pond? Would chains or studs on the front tires help at all? How much of a noticeable difference? I'm also working on a Zamboni mod so impressions from chains or studs won't impact skating.
Thanks.
