Hello all. I'm a new owner of a like-new 2013 Rancher. I'm hoping to get enough information to keep/maintain my new atv. It's in great condition but I've noticed that it wants to die after running great for a while and I come to a stop. It's like it chokes itself out. Not sure why but it'll start up again but it's in such nice shape I want to make sure I keep it that way. Thanks for any advice and help in advance.

Welcome to Quadcrazy. My rancher acts up from time to time.  I put a fresh plug in and its good to go.  Make sure your fuel delivery is ok and that your gas cap vent is working properly.  If it acts up open the gas cap and see if the problem goes away. If so its vapor lock and order a new cap. Other then that to me it sounds like a fuel starved issue that happens after some riding?   Maybe a filter or your injector may be acting up after it gets hot etc. Start with the simple stuff first.

As far as keeping up with the machine i would say  the standard oil, lube and filter and your air filter changes.  One often over looked item is the differential fluids.  Make sure that once a year you check the fluids and change if your logging big time riding hours.

Side note:

Write it down!!! Go buy a small book and keep a log! If you ever want to upgrade to a new atv  its a lot easier to sell a machine with documentation!  And if you keep your machine its great to remember what and when you did a repair or maintenance!

So as I've looked in my owner's manual and tried to see what the lubricant in the rear diff. is supposed to be. The manual always says "Except for TRX420TM" and that's exactly what I have. Can you tell me what lubricant is used in my rear differential? Thank you

I have noticed lately that the ATV tires i generally buy have upped in price quite a bit. The Kenda EX that i generally get are sold out and not available at this time, the EVO which is usually my second choice has increased 50.00 on a set of 4. The HTR Kendas best tire is now 150.00 per tire. Even the Sun F have increased but not so much as the others.

Hi, I have been around everything with a motor since I was little, and finally purchased more to get my husband, and kids involved. I have 4 quads I will be searching around for information on. I have two 2002 Suzuki LT80K quads, a 1997 Yamaha Timberwolf 250, and a 1996 Kawasaki Bayou 220. I have had different ones throughout the years, and plan on buying another Yamaha Banshee. I plan on trying to learn more about all of them, so I can customize some of them. I know nothing about them besides how to race them, my dad always took care of the rest, but figured it was time for me to learn.

I am new to this site. I have a 1987 Suzuki LT230S Quadsport I think. Is there a difference between quadsport and quadrunner?

Does anyone have a recommendation of a really Heavy Duty ATV cover. I have bought several and they do keep the water off somewhat, but they are very thin and do not contour with the shape very well and water pools up in the rack louvers. I think i may be looking for a heavy canvas one, if anyone has a recommendation it would be greatly appreciated.
