1989 Yamaha moto 4 350cc BIG Project!!!!! Help

Hello, i have many questions but ill start with a few.

1. The yamaha 350 from 89ish- 93ish has this dual actuating throttle cable assembly. I can not find a replacement cable for it. One cable had rusted and broke. Do i need to update to the new carb style that has the single cable? If so this sucks because i just cleaned this one.

2. Has anyone found replacement struts/coil-overs for these moto 4s?

3. What cause oil residue in the starter gear housing? Is it normal?

4. Does anyone have a service manual?

I hope to get answers to this stuff. Im the kind of guy that researches and never Have the opportunity to help people. Hopefully this thread will do just that.

Awesome! Sounds great. Its is a huge project, my friend bought it brand new in 1989. The last 3 years it sat in a field with the old gas left in it. I cleaned the carb out but im stuck on this cable. It has 2 throttle cables, one to the needle/slide, and one to the butterfly. I just need the cable that runs to the slide. Online searches and parts aren't very specific. If i have to, ill purchase an aftermarket carb for $50, but I'm trying to keep cost low. As far as the coil overs, the ones on it are shot, i have an 86 parts moto 4 i was going to use the front shocks and swap them.

This diagram is off of a warrior, i found what seems to be the part online but im not putting that much in it, especially if i dont even know how it runs. Im going to try to get it to idle today.  Diagram part num 21 is what the assembly looks like. I need the one cable that goes from where it splits to the needle on top of the carb. Thanks

The stock driver seat cushion is separated at a seam. I took the seat apart and found that the material has torn and cannot be re-stiched. I'm trying to find a replacement seat. Any suggestions? Hoping for a used seat but couldn't find one on Ebay.

      Hey I have a 1997 big bear 350 4x4
I replaced the shifter shaft and the shift arm linkage and the rod when I installed them all I was unaware that you had to line the dot on the shifter shaft with the gap on the linkage arm gap put it all back  together and rode it I can't get it to shift in the right gears  I can move the shift cam by hand and goes in different gears but with the shifter shaft in it riding I can't put it in R or N
Anyone know how to line up the shifter shaft and the shift cam s

      Hi guys
My 87 Bear 350 won't start and could use a hand.
Turn key on and Oil light turns on and then slowly fades out. (I think this is key to this) No start, not even a tick.
      battery and connections good
A Solenoid post jump turns it over
Neutral Safety Switch wire attached and seems good
It has not had a wire/switch on Rear Brake Pedal ever since I had it.
Any thoughts on some other things to troubleshoot this??

Sorry I suck at these forums so if you see this submitted under update status, my bad. Anyhow this is a new shock for a 96 Yamaha Kodiak 400 4x4 it fits my 96 Yamaha Timberwolf 250 4x4 perfectly. Little narrower are the bottom than the original but everything else is perfect. I extended it to almost a half in from full extension because I’m pushing 350 pounds.  It rides and hold me well. So if any of y'allRace driven shock. have been looking for one and didn’t want to do the research here it is.

I WANTED TO UPGRADE THE CARBURATOR ON MY 1992 BIG BEAR 350, SO I ORDERED A NEW CARB FROM EBAY.  ACCORDING TO THE WRITE-UP IT WAS A GOOD FIT FOR BIG BEARS FROM 1988 TO 1996.  WHEN I REMOVED MY ORIGINAL CARB I NOTICED THAT IT WAS DIFFERENT FROM THE NEW CARB MY CARB HAD TWO THROTTLE  CABLES THE NEW CARB ONLY HAD ONE CABLE.  HOW CAN I MAKE THIS CARB WORK ON MY TWO CABLE THROTTLE?
