I'm looking to upgrade to a bigger machine.  I only use my atv when deer hunting and maybe put 5 miles on it per day at most.  Current atv is a 2004 Kawasaki Bayou  250, 2WD, garage kept, nothing special and it still works great.  I'm wanting to upgrade so I can use a small disc for food plots.  I think the 570 would be perfect size.

Knowing the extent of my use, what are your thoughts on the Tracker (Textron) 570?  It's gets me into a bigger machine at a more affordable price than the big name brands.

Thanks for the input!

thats a testron/arctic cat product.  arctic cat lost its popularity when it started using the kawasaki 650 v twin motor which tend to jump time.  other then that id say the old arctic cat atvs are great machines as well as the new textron off-road models.  yes they arnt well known, but from what ive gathered they are right there with the new yamahas and suzukis and even close to polaris in performance and quality.

my personal experience is to buy a gently used atv (mint condition with a couple hundred miles on it) instead of paying the full price just to drive it off the dealership floor but thats just me..

I have a 2020 tracker 570 aka arctic cat atleast engine cover shows its an arctic cat love the machine!!!! But i dont like the oil filter location right next to the exhaust header does anyone know the filter thread pitch i am trying to find a filter relocation kit to move the filter away from the exhaust header and keep oil temps cooler as I feel the additional heat will shorten the life of the engine. I have also wrapped my header with header wrap to keep oil filter temps down let me know thanks in advance

I have a 1990 Bayou 220 that runs pretty well for it's age--needs a new muffler, but sounds tough.    Have had to start with a pull cord since I got it, and recently started troubleshooting the start button.  Finding a lot of information on this issue in the forum, but haven't been able to chase it down yet.  Got a new battery, new starter solenoid, and going to replace the starter relay this week, but not convinced that's going to do the trick, since I can't get the neutral light on when turning the key on.  I can start it by jumping the solenoid, but the 2 black wires to the relay do not activate the starter.  Bad ground or a short somewhere?  Is there a good way to just test the ground?

I've been trying to piece this Lakota 300 back together, slowly. It's been a rabbit hole however. I replace one thing, then it leads to replacing other things. Anyway, When I got this thing I noticed that the hose coming off the camshaft cover wasn't attached to anything, it was just hanging loose. (It's literally just a foot long hose attached to nothing) I figured since it was venting the head it would be ok and I am sure it is.
However, last night I was looking at the service manual and noticed that it mentioned that this atv has a crankcase breather tube as well. Mine does not have one, so I looked at Partzilla and looked at the parts diagram and sure enough, it's definitely supposed to have one. The problem however is, the service manual does not show how it hooks up and the parts diagram only shows the exploded view of the assembly. I just find that kind of strange, nowhere in the manual does it show how it connects. Does it have it connector, attach to a nipple? It just doesn't say and it bothers me that there is a hole there without anything attached to it.  If anyone has a Bayou 300 or Lakota 300 with an intact breather vent system and could possibly take some clear photos of it or know how it connects I would be very grateful. I have searched high and low and cannot find any information on it.

      Thanks

Bought 4 wheeler for kids. Used to run and soon as it was put in gear it died. I have put new carburater, new plug and battery. The neutral light won't come on. I replaced the solenoid, then the positive battery cable and today put new relay assembly on. Still no neutral light. Not getting any juice and I don't know why.
