Hello I am new to this forum and I just had  Big Bear 400 given to me for free. I am in the process of tear down to begin rebuild. I have 75% of the parts to be in rebuild but what I am lacking is a good manual. I have the Haynes manual but it appears to be very generic. I am in need of a real good manual with plenty of details. Can anyone help??

Thanks much

Hi I am also new to the group. I also got a free quad. Mine is a 09 Yamaha Kodiak 450. Doesn't run. Previous owner took it to several people with no luck. First quad but now try figure out how to get it going.

Should be fun and expensive.

If you look the part up in partzilla, and then choose the part as though you were going to buy it, it will take you to another page where it will tell you what other bikes the part fits. If your wiring fits another year or model, then that other models wiring will also fit yours.

If you don't trust partzilla, then look the parts up on some one or more other parts places, a lot of which will also say what other models the part fits.

Hi, I have been around everything with a motor since I was little, and finally purchased more to get my husband, and kids involved. I have 4 quads I will be searching around for information on. I have two 2002 Suzuki LT80K quads, a 1997 Yamaha Timberwolf 250, and a 1996 Kawasaki Bayou 220. I have had different ones throughout the years, and plan on buying another Yamaha Banshee. I plan on trying to learn more about all of them, so I can customize some of them. I know nothing about them besides how to race them, my dad always took care of the rest, but figured it was time for me to learn.

I recently read an article about restoring or at least improving the looks of faded and discolored plastic body parts. In the article it suggested using a 50/50 mixture of boiled linseed oil and paint thinner. You mix it up and apply it with a brush or rag to rub it in and remove the oxidation. I curious to find out if anyone has had experience with doing this and what was their short/long term results of doing so. I would hate to try it and find out that a few weeks/months down the road my plastic body parts self destruct.

I am new to this site. I have a 1987 Suzuki LT230S Quadsport I think. Is there a difference between quadsport and quadrunner?

      Hello All
I'm kinda new to ATVs. I just bought a 1987 Suzuki quad runner 230 Dual Range. I'm having a problem finding info on it. It's very clean, only 2.800 miles. The front wheels are only 30 in.center to center. I was thinking about adding wheel spacers to give it more stability. I realize the added stress on ball joints and bearings. I'm wondering if there are any other concerns? Any input is greatly appreciated!
