1997 LT-F250 Suzuki Quadrunner idle mixture setting

Hey all, just bought a rather ratty non-runner quadrunner that I am working on.

Carb idle jet was blocked up of course and the clip had fallen off the needle!  Anyways, got it cleaned up and running, though rough.  Was wondering what the factory set was for the needle clip and the turns out for the mixture screw (the one inside the carb with access through the float bowl).  I guessed at 2nd down from the top of the needle and 3.5 turns out on the mixture, but it seems off.

Can anyone with a service manual let me know please.

Thanks

I can't download yet (10 posts?) but thank you for what will be a great link.

Hating to push my luck, but do you have an owner's/operator's manual for it too? :)

10 posts should unlock that for you. Its by design so people participate as members here and don't just download and leave. There is a membership option for those that prefer immediate access without posting https://www.quadcrazy.com/subscriptions

Unfortunately I could not find the owners manual.

I cant tell you what the needle clip setting us but the air mixture screw should be 2 full rotations out.

Assuming the screw opens air, that would explain why it seems to idle lean.  It even backfired when I shut it down.

Argh, comes apart again.  (I had a bit of trouble getting the air box back on etc.)

thanks though!

I'm in the middle of repairing damage from the chain coming off of this from the previous owner. (I learned this is somewhat common on these for various reasons.)
What are you guys using to either help keep the chain correct and on the sprocket or guarding your engine in the case that it comes off / breaks?
Is there an upgraded guard that can bolt around the sprocket in replacement of the currently broken OEM alluminum?

I am looking for a PDF version of a manual for a Suzuki Quadrunner 250.  I am not sure of the year, but believe it is a late 1990s model.

      Hello all!
I was given a 2000 Suzuki Quadrunner 500 (Quad 500 Runner?) and its current state is a bit of a mystery!
Kept indoors but hasn't been run in 5 years.  We're not trying the engine until the gas is replaced, and the tires are reinflated. But the previous owner said their only issue was stalling when shifting to reverse without giving some throttle.
      I'm optimistic!  See y'all around!

What is the best way to remove the carb on a 2000 quadmaster 500? Does the gas tank need to come off first?

Hello, inherited this machine from my father. Runs poorly. Getting fuel in the air box. I’m looking for information on timing  it and bringing her back to life. John
