1989 Suzuki LT80 want to add a headlight and tail light

The charging only puts out about 30 watts at high revs, and a lot less if you\re driving around a bit carefully and at slower revs, as you should at night.

I'd try rigging up a variable resistor or load of some sort, and use it to check what sort of current I could get out of it (at driving sort of revs, not high revs) before the volts dropped below about 12.6.

You should be able to  add  both using LED lights. Here's a link to a pair of 18w 12v flood lights for example .https://www.amazon.com/Nilight-ZH009-Lights-Harness-Warranty/dp/B06XRZW1LD/ref=psdc_15730331_t2_B09174JSRK

Just one of them  should make  more than enough light for the little  Suzuki.. There are others available that  would be suitable  and run from 9w  up you should be able to  find with a search on 12v LED flood lights. There are all  sorts of LED  tail/ stop  lights you could adapt for the back and most , if not  all,  would  only use a couple of watts.

Those spotlights actually draw 180 watts of electricity Dave..  That's 15 amp for both or seven and a half amps each..  Even one's already blown the power budget at full revs.. At moderate revs the battery will be going flat.

If the charging puts out about thirty watts, which is what the manual says it does at 5000, then it will only be 2.5 amps at 5000 revs. At lower revs, say 2000, we might only get one amp, possibly less..

Their specs claim 18w..... 6 x 3w  LEDs per light and only one needed for a head lamp; and only draw~1.5A. They're 4" lamps,  not a  light bar. Only one would be needed for a headlamp, not both.  He could use the second on another project. . A 180w light bar would be insanely bright  and too wide for a big single seat  quad. On the Canadian  Amazon site I found  one lamp that only drew 9w, but didn't see the same one in the US site

My friends KQ 300 starts fine and runs, as soon as you put it in gear and try to accelerate its bucks and farts like crazy, not moving... I cleaned carb and it worked good for 1 day... now back to same problem.... could it be such as a bent valve????

Howdy y'all, I'm trying to fix a neighbors 2015 Brute Force 300. Came in with hard to start and won't idle except on choke issue. I pulled the carb and found the pilot jet as well as the emulsion tube partially clogged. Cleaned up everything, put it back together, still having issues...  It will start right up on choke and will also start off choke if you give it just a touch of throttle but it absolutely will not idle unless it's choked just a touch. Also, excuse my ignorance but I'm assuming the "dial" thingy attached to the carb that turns in and out is for setting idle??

I’m looking for a top end kit for a Yamaha. I would like to see how well the engine runs before spending $6-$7 hundred on oem. Niche has complete kits from $1-$2 hundred.  Anyone have experience with Niche or similar Chinese companies?

Bucking started about a month ago and works ok after 1/2 hour warmup.  Today while working on it i discovered that if i put the ignition switch in LIGHT position it runs fine right from the start.
I'm stumped!  Any idea why this could be?
