Has anyone experienced problems with Mud Lite XTR tires that seemed to have a twisted belt? Tire sets up steering wobble that only grows worse with speed. Have had them remounted and the rim is straight, still no joy. Mounted on 2019 Sportsman XP 1000. Tire is 27x9x14.

Jack the wheel off the ground and put a block of wood real close to the tyre and then see if the gap changes as you turn the wheel.. You'll only be able to check from knob to knob but it might show up an out of round or a bulge.  Try the same thing at both sides to check for side bulges.

Sorry to hear about the issues you've been experiencing with your Mud Lite XTR tires. It sounds like you've already tried remounting them and checking the rims for straightness, but the steering wobble persists. It's possible that there could be a problem with the tire itself, such as a twisted belt, which can cause these types of issues.

In this case, you may want to consider reaching out to the manufacturer of the tire to see if they can help you diagnose the problem or offer a warranty replacement if the tire is found to be defective. Alternatively, if you purchased the tires from a dealer or retailer, they may be able to assist you with resolving the issue.

If the wobbling is severe or affecting your ability to safely operate the vehicle, it's best to avoid using it until the problem is resolved.

I finally got around to working on the TRX, this has been an ongoing problem with this machine. This is a machine that we keep on my Fathers property, i dont see it that often, my brother haad it professionally repaired last year and year before same problem, the new starter gears and bypass gears last about a year and the machine is not used that often, he said he was done with it , so i thought i should go take a look. Sure enough the gears were all malled again.

IMG_4910.mov   There is some slack in there but most is taken up by the gear cover,if anyone with history with these machines has had the same problem, let me know your findings. Where i am now im looking for finding replacement honda gears on Ebay and try those. I suspect the original was replaced with aftermarket gears years ago and they just worse quality as the years go by.

Picked up this old 2000 polaris sportsman 500 and the speedometer is dead .Tried the bypass to get the awd drive to work but no luck.I grounded the 2 brown wires going to the hubs .Didn't work. The AWD light does not come on and there is no power on the grey wires going to the hubs .I even tried connecting the 2 brown wires at the speedometer plug in .There is 12 volts on the red with white stripe connected to brown at the speedometer plug in .Does the speedometer need to be plugged back in for this to work.Could it be the switch or a burned AWD bulb ?
