New to linhai 300

Recommended Posts

Hello, tried to post a little while back and it didn't go through,or I can't find it. Anyway, recently bought a used 2006 300(260 e11 on top of air box,not sure what that means unless the airbox fits both). Story goes it has no spark. My daughter and I are done cleaning the fuel system and moving on to the electrical side. Have found some broken manuals, never the full 2006 one. To start this off right, could someone please tell me the correct battery? I have found in a manual 5ahr,but if I get a 12ahr,will I start to blow fuses and starters? Also, can i do the troubleshooting with a batter jump pack hooked straight to it so as not to run a new battery down? Thankyou!

Hi. There is an owners manual that I think I got from the manuals section, and it says the battery is an 18Ah but if you fit accessories to fit a bigger one. The manual has a trouble shooting section, though no specific specs for checking components, and it has a wiring diagram which might be handy.

You can use a jumper pack to test things but be very careful not to let it get disconnected if the engine is running, and get a battery as soon as possible once it's going in case the jumper does strain the charging system..

And I think your first post needs to be edited to remove a full stop or something from way way down the bottom of the page. It might just be that it needs a lot of "Enter" spaces removed..

Still working on the 2000 Big Bear with a no spark issue. A lot of this has been covered in an older thread, but I will summarize.
Bought it with the previous owner telling me it needed a new wiring harness, but the wiring harness was in tact and seemed to be fine, except starter solenoid and coil was missing, also the engine was stuck, and no spark plug. Got the engine free and rotating, checked compression, it was 130, not great, but good enough to run. Hooked up a battery, nothing , went through all the wiring and found starter cutout relay bad, replaced that, now I have it rotating with starter. Pulled the plug checked, no spark. Checked start/stop switch, working like it should, reverse relay was bad ,replaced that. Checked continuity from coil to CDI, good, checked pickup coil resistance, within specs, checked anti kickback coil resistance, within specs. What am I missing.

Hi! I'm new to the forums  I'm working on my klf300 that isn't starting anymore. I accidentally ripped apart the spark plug cap, and I'm curious to know the resistance of the original part, it's not mentioned in the manuals. If anyone with a KLF300 could measure their OEM or known working replacement spark plug cap I would be very happy  NGK for example has spark caps with resistances 0, 5, 10, 15 ohms so it seems to be something that I would like to match as close as possible with the original part.
      Thanks,

I was looking to buy a new ATV.
I was debating between Polaris sportsman 450 and Honda rancher.
      Polaris it a bit cheaper.
But can you tell me which one will have more demand on the used market? Which one will keep it's value better?

Hi, I have a grizzly 600 from 2000 that has been giving me headaches for a few days.  it has no spark.  I checked everything I could according to the manual and everything was within the parameters and I came to the conclusion that I need to replace the CDI .... when I did the measurements I did not check if the orange cable that goes from the CDI to the induction coil has a connection to  ground (I just checked if it had continuity and it did).  after I put a new CDI and I still had no spark, I saw that somewhere under the fuel tank there was a bunch of cables that were a bit crushed and there that orange cable was stripped and had a connection to the chassis.  what are the chances that the new CDI will be fried because of this?
      Thanks!
