1993 Polaris 350l help!

Recommended Posts

So, I bought the machine almost a year ago and have been chasing problems. I have replaced the battery, starter solenoid, spark plug, and the starter. Since having replaced those, it doesn't want to start. I checked the carb, and it was wet as well as the spark plug. And I've searched multiple forums and cannot find an answer. So, anything that helps is appreciated, thanks.

So you saying it was going before you replaced those parts, but now that you've fitted the parts it won't start ? And you fitted all the parts in one go ?

And what were the problems you've been chasing for the last year ?

It sounds like the no start now must be something you've done if it was going before you fitted new parts..

A wet spark-plug sounds like you have a weak or no spark. Have you checked if there is spark at the plug ?

Have you gone back and checked all the wires you touched, or near where you were working ?

If the bikes been sitting for a long time, has it got fresh fuel ? Stale fuel will make it hard to start and can flood the spark-plug.

I just rode my klf 300 all day yesterday, and today when i went to unload it it would not start. When i took the plug out to check for spark it only produced a very faint weak looking spark and it was not consistant with rolling over, is this from a bad ignition coil or could it just be a loose conection somewhere?

Have had the carb apart twice now and can"t find any obvious problems. but if I leave the fuel on it floods the float bowl and leaks out the overflow. What should I be checking?

Hi. I just bought an lt230 1993.  Ive started buying parts for a full rebuild.  But somehow beskepedal has been removed and pegs welded to where They are supposed to be screwed.    I was wondering if anyone have one and Could measure how far out the pegs are.  Like the peg the brake is put on and then peg outside of it.  And the one lower down.  So i can recreate them.

      Hi guys!
I recently acquired a 2004 Sportsman 600 4x4.  It originally ran great but now It runs very rough and only with choke on.  It dies when you hit the throttle. I will be removing the carb for a good cleaning.  At this point I'm thinking it's a fuel issue.  I replaced the fuel pump and fuel filter today as they are cheap.  When I get the carb back we will see how it goes.  If it still runs bad I might try bypassing the fuel pump and running direct from tank to carb.  Any ideas as to what I should be trying would be greatly appreciated.
Also, the carb has two nipples in the front in the front on each side.  The left side has a vent hose on it but the right side is capped off.  Shouldn't this one be venting as well?  See pic.
I did pick up a new aftermarket carb to have just in case.  There is a hose fitting on the right rear that my OEM carb doesn't have.  What would this be for?  I would think just keep that on capped? (See pic)
      Thanksnin advance.

Hello, i just bought this quad and i think the carb that came with it is either wrong or i am very dumb and cannot figure out how to install it ha. The bottom of the carb hits the wire boot on the starter before i can get it to seat into the boots, i measured it with calipers and its about 6.1 inches long. The ones that i see on ebay for it claim 5.72 inches for length, i assume that will fix my issue but just wanted to double check before buying. The carb that is in it right now has no numbers or anything on it for me to reference.
