2005 Scrambler 500 4x4 valve cover bolts socket size?

Can someone please tell me what size socket I need to remove the valve cover? Thanks! 🙂

I think, unless they are using european metric bolts, that what they describe as 6mm bolts take a ten mill spanner, and 8mm bolts take a 12mm spanner. And I think they describe the cam/valve cover as a rocker cover in page two..

If the bolts are euro then a 6mm bolt will use an eleven mill spanner.

It required 8mm socket. Naturally my cheap 1/4" ratchet broke lol! Thanks! 🙂

Oh ok. Some bike bolts do have small heads.. I'd forgotten about them.. 8mm is near enough to 5/16 to work.

They are fairly specialized bolts 8mm head on 6mm bolt, had to replace some, most i found had a 10mm head on 6mm bolt, ended up getting them from the dealer, good yours arent missing or broken.

Taking the last bolt out I fumbled it and had to find it lol! 🙂
