Perfect for that especially if you get one, to haul it out of the woods, but my expierience is they seem to scare the deer away. I always see more deere when i walk in and if you park it close to the stand they dont come close. I dont hunt much anymore so i dont have any recent expieriences.

Deer Hunters///??? LOL.  Give me a Big ole squirrel or a hog any day.  Squirrels will come down a scold you  (ever seen a squirrel dog?  that's how they work) so the machine probably does not matter BTW  Grandma does not like shotgun bb's  .... use my rifle

Greys are territorial nice to hunt.  Whereas , Fox Squirrels move from one area to another.  The Fox Squirrels up look foxy in color. In Florida it looks like a racoon in coloring.

Leaves are turning...I like to hunt squirrels after the leaves have fallen...I can see the little B---t--ds easier.  But I love my old blot action 23 inch barrel Winchester.  However, I have a Ruger 10/22/22 SS...This model has 22 inch barrel.   I don't need to move to work the action after the first shot and give away my position for a second shot on another squirrel.   Sometimes I will shoot in there chest so I can save the head as I like to eat the brains.

I recently bought another Ruger 10/22 like I had many years ago when they first came out, not anywhere near the quality of the origonal but functions fine. I also hunted Squirrels, Rabbits.,etc. It cost 4 times More than I paid way back then buts it's Fun to shoot!

MIne is an older model I bought used ...it was still in the box.   I have an aftermarket trigger.   The original Ruger triggers were so so ....I think  the Ruger attorneys designed them to be super safe...

I hunt off of my wheeler, my grandsons tell me it’s too loud. But I’ve killed deer off of it. A lot of times I hunt field roads or woods roads and fields I just figure out where I want to sit and usually I ride around behind my spot so I don’t disturb the cover in front of where I’m going to sit. I have a good bit of camouflage netting I put over my wheeler and string it up where I don’t have enough cover. There’s a lot of farming going on so get there early and they seem to not be bothered by the noise. I’ve killed many deer like that. Good luck this season get a big one.

I think you are correct...deer don't have as much fear when you are on a vehicle or horse.   Hiding your eyes is important...animals identify eyes...Honey bees for example actually recognize people by there eyes / face.    Often when I helped a friend with his bees the bees would fly up and move back and forth a few inches from my face.  AT that point don't swat at them as they remember and are identifying you.

Damn you are smart and beautiful. You are so knowledgeable. I never would have ever thunk it, don’t guess thunk is a word . And to think I gradgiated 6th grade when I was 16 and went to work in the cotton mill. You would think I would know all that stuff. I’m sorry but if a honey bee gets that close to my eyes he’s or she’s swatted.

My  front rack.    The New clamps will hold my rifle.  I would put it in a sleeve of course.  Here it is with my pole saw.  The clamps on My  rack  can swivel  also . Made by Kolpin.  I got them from local Quad /cycle dealer. Those guys are very helpful.

Squirrel is tasty...add a Bay leaf when you fry it.  Hunting Squirrel is great.  Get in woods and go to sleep. wake up and they are there.  Squirrel dogs used to be common for hunting squirrels. The squirels  will come down and scold the dog. Florida wild hog is high on my list also .  They eat acorns and have that nut taste .... I love that!

We rode here the day before the event. This is a DCNR state forest trail system. The story behind the name is miners would put their bottles of whiskey in the local springs to keep them cold until their shift was over. Part of the trail system is on old strip mines so some areas are barren, others are full forest.
