700 raptor owners

I have a 04 660 raptor. I love the machine in fields, gravel roads, and jumps. I do not like it in the woods because it does not know low rpm riding. I have to ride the clutch a ton in the woods (especially on slow riding trails)

Does the 700 fuel ejection run better in low rpm in the woods?????

i do not own a 700 but i had a 03 660 and loved it i had the same problem with mine i went up one tooth on my front sprocket witch let me use 1st a lot more on tight trails

with stock gearing 1st was useless but on tight trails 2nd was lugging to much anyway it was a cheap fix for my riding style and if 1 tooth in the front doesnt work for you just go down 1or2 in the back as for clutching a lot learn to love that clutch it will make you faster well it did for me i had a banshee befor my raptor and had to use that cluth all the time and i found riding my raptor or any other quad i ride use that clutch like you are riding a 2stoke just always helps !!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's funny you should say that, IMO a Raptor is one of the easiest bikes to ride at low rpm. You wont find a sport bike with more torque. If you think you have to clutch alot with a Raptor, try riding a 450, I can't lug my LTR at all. I even have to clutch more on my TRX500R than a Raptor, and a CR500 motor has tons of torque. If you don't like using a clutch maybe you would like a KFX 700 better. Or like Havok said, adjust your gearing. A tooth up will make 1st gear more usable, or a tooth down will let you use 2nd gear sooner, but 1st would probably be useless unless you want to pull some stumps. Front sprocket adjustments make a big difference, rear sprocket changes let you fine tune things.

I generally use Non Ethynol fuel in all my small engines. I just got back from the gas station and that fuel has really increased in price since last year, I will continue to use it, even though its north of 1.00 a gallon more. That seems minor compared to cleaning and repairing carbs every year.
I was just curious as to what others are doing in regard to gas in their quads, i know a lot of the newer ones are fuel injected which shouldnt pose a problem, but i have had lots of problems with rust and jell forming in carbs when using ethynol fuel.

having an issue with the unit when running under a load up a hill or in high gear, seems like the belt is slipping, there is a clapping sound coming from the primary clutch like it releases and snaps back in. i don't think I should have a noise like that. this is a friends unit and he has already replaced the primary twice with the same result.
not sure where to look next

Hi, I am having issues with my TRX350D fuel pump.  It suddenly stopped running so I have replaced all the fuses and cleaned all the terminals.  I have fitted a new pump, fuel cut-off relay and rectifier.  Still nothing!!  The pump runs when attached to a battery.  The engine will start on the choke and the filter fills with fuel but it will  not rev and dies when the choke is closed. I have power to the relay but nothing at the pump black/white wire when cranking the engine.  Any ideas where to go from here would be very much appreciated!!

My king quad 700 runs rough when cold then won't start some times but not often when it's hot. And occasionally smoke's a lot when it's cold I'm guessing that's rings but I'm worried unless it's causing the other problems
