i think i would look into an aftermarket cdi instead of just a rev box.. there are some like dyna tek that modify timing and other things to increase hp as well as offering different higher rev options...

The exhaust tip is a great way to go if you can't afford a new pipe. You could always remove your airbox lid and jet the carb accordingly. That will give you a noticeble gain. You could always get some front shocks off of a 450 and upgrade your front suspendion.

The Big Gun Rev Box is a CDI?!?!??! You really won't see to much of a gain with just the CDI upgrade. A more aggressive cam with the CDI... Now you're talking!

This is true, the biggest advantage of a rev box or aftermarket CDI, is that it lifts the rev limiter, unless you are riding up against the limiter all the time, it won't make much of an improvement, aside from higher top speed unless you compliment it with other mods to take advantage of the more aggressive timing curve. Like Bot said, open up the intake and re-jet, a new high flow intake is not too expensive either. A set of cams is a good upgrade too, they would really help you get the most out of the other little stuff, but they are a little more expensive.

Hi everyone and thanks for reading.
My husband and me are getting ready to host the 2nd Quad Runners event at our nudist campground. The first one (last year) went pretty well with about 20 quads attending and have to say, it was a smaller group, but they made up for their size with the large interest in partying and there was plenty of nudity as the Saturday night went on.
We have decided to host another one this summer, but we are looking for some fun (but safe) riding events. Our grounds are almost all flat and remember we are a nudist campground so many of us are bare as* naked so "slow ride" events would be the best.
Give us your thoughts and ideas and feel free to ask us anything you would like, and we will answer right here in the thread.
Thanks for your help and ride safe.
BTW, let us know what "anything goes" means for this thread section.

      Hi all,

I am wondering if any of you have a Clutch Starter gear from a 1988 era quadrunner 250 sitting around that you could get me a precise measurement of the outer diameter of the race the sprag engages onto, for me? I need to machine a damaged race down and install a hardened sleeve and need that measurement (it's on a different gear than the OEM one, so I can't buy and use a OEM gear).

Hi guys, I was given a 2000 Honda Recon fourtrax 250 (I think that's the full name lol). The previous owner had it sitting for a while before I got it. It sat for another few years in my ownership. I got it up and going on its first test drive today!! I was wondering where everyone buys their parts from?  Coming from the car community, we have sites like RockAuto and many more. Anything like that for quads? Also would like to be pointed in a direction, if possible, for plastics. I am missing a few and would like to have it complete. I appreciate any input!
