1995 Yamaha Kodiak 400 Remove Old Bushings

I have a 1995 kodiak 400. Have to replace the A-arm, ball joint. I am having trouble removing the 2 old bushings on the motor side.

Anyone have any ideas on making this easier?

I have a new bushing kit, so was wondering if heat may help loosen them up?

Thanks for any help.

Well, if you are relacing the bushings, you can apply heat to them and burn them out. Then tap out the collars. Get some MAPP gas.

      Just picked up this 2025 Kodiak 700 esp and was wondering if anyone has any suggestion on up grades i should look into  ?? I did a EPI clutch upgrade and put bigger tires on it but want to do more !!

      Cannot find out why 12 vdc  4 (4) commutator starter motor has no power. It will run full speed without load. But with any load will not turn. Repaired broken brush holder and insulated an internal wire to magnet that was bare and rubbing. cleaned commutator segments. Ohm readings while slowly rotating commutator was 1 ohm.   When attempting to run  with load it will not turn and Bat vdc only pulls down to12vdc. Cannot find an internal wiring schematic.  I can buy a rebuild kit ~$35 but WTH?

      Excess heat from Cforce 400s muffler on Rt side rear plastics

      Have a high heat issue on the right side panel on my 2021 cforce 400, as complained about by the wife.
      My heat gun shows after 15 minute ride in ambient 91 deg temps;  690 degrees on front end of muffler close to entry pipe and 375 on exit side of muffler.  The right side plastic (where wife's leg would touch) was showing 175 degrees.  This is rediculous!.
      As I understand the muffler has a built in catalytic converter which obviously kicks off high heat particularly at front end of muffler, but the heat is atrocious.
      What is everyone doing about this problem?  Is there a replacement muffler to eliminate this issue?

      2007 Hond fore 500 4x4 es trouble after top end rebuild

      I rebuilt the top end on my 2007 Honda Trx500fe. It ran fine right after the rebuilt. But now when I try to crank it it blows Bach through the carburetor. I held my hand over the opening for the intake air and it blew gas back on my hand. Can figure out what happened all of a sudden. It was cranking and was able to ride it running through all the gears. Now can get it to crank just blowing gas back to the air filter. Need help again. Starting to think I should have walked away from this one.

      Right Hand side panel for heat reduction on 2017 Sportsman 570

      Has anyone had experience with the installation of the Optional RH Side Panel Close Off Kit as shown as p/n 2207445 which is supposed to help control the heat on the right side on my legs?  Right now that panel is wide open with excess heat on my leg.
