Anyone having or had a problem with the sending unit regeristing when full but after the fuel level drops about a gallon then it registers empty or jumps to different levels.

If it were me, I would take the unit out of the tank and visually inspect it. The floating part of the sensor is probably just getting hung up somehow, could be some sort of debris or damage to the float. Worst case, you will need to replace the whole thing which is only about $65 from Babbits Sports Center.

Ok Dirtdemon Thank you kindly for the info. This is a digital display would it it be a float or sensors in your opinion. I'm an old guy but new to this sport.

Hard to say, but I would still take a look and make sure the float unit is working properly, if it seems fine, then I would suspect an actual electrical sensor/sending unit. The reason I am suspect of the floating part of the sensor is that it works when full, but when it has to move, it begins to give false readings and is inconsistent, that kind of sounds typical of a sticking tank float. Also, there are apparently two different models, there is the 650 H1 Auto FIS and there is the 650 H1 TRV Auto. I don't know what all the differences are, but I did notice that the fuel lever sensor unit is slightly different and about $12 more expensive on the TRV model.

This is a common problem and I also had it. Arctic Cat posted a bulletin about and one easy way to possibly fix it is to buy a bottle of Chevron's Techron additive and put about half of it in and the rest on the next tankful. It cleared my issue up for awhile. I also had a weird problem with my SUV suddenly only reading from half to full all the time. I dumped a bottle of the stuff in and it cleared it up in about 2 weeks. That was over a year ago and its been fine ever since. It seems to be sulfur deposits that gets on the sending unit fouling it up.

Depending on how bad its fouled it might take a week or so to clear up. Better then ripping into it if you don't have to.

On a different note, my SUV gauge crapped again so I dumped another bottle in and two days later, good again.

Hisun 700 EFI. Replaced TMAP sensor had broken off . Fuel pump pressure 41psi. The only way I can keep it running (and runs fine) is to close off fuel return line.

This thing came with a cheap aftermarket carb on it the problem I'm having is it won't start with choke installed into carburetor it will start and get run without it installed then bogs out after about 2 min run time I've checked timing , compression, checked valves for proper clearance , also did a smoke test for air leaks found none.

Hi All.  I introduced myself some weeks ago with my 2006 LT-F400F that needed a list of repairs including replacing the cracked generator cover.  It is back together as of last night and cranks up, idles and revs high pretty well.  Needs some fine tuning and stop backfiring at stop.
The big issue is it will not go into gear.  I reassembled the insides with help from y’all’s posts.  The transfer selector moves from H-L-R, and the foot shifter moves thru the gears and finds neutral easily enough.  Before I tear it back open, the  transfer selector on top does not move as far as the repair manual says.  The diagram shows the shaft moving something like 40 degrees between L and H and 50+ degrees between L and R but it doesn’t move that far even though it finds the indent areas and moves well.
Could this be the problem.  I aligned all the dots on the shifter gears inside and it appeared to not be binding anywhere.  I do hear the gears touching when I shift like they are trying to engage, but zero movement from the ARV
It was somewhat difficult to tell whether all the parts are installed on each shaft.
Are there better/bigger photos somewhere that would allow me to be confident I included all the washers and bushings, etc?  If I had any doubt on parts that were laying inside after the cover broke then I purchased replacements from online stores.
TIA for any input or feedback!!  Pics are from when I first took the generator cover off.

I rebuilt the top end on my 2007 Honda Trx500fe. It ran fine right after the rebuilt. But now when I try to crank it it blows Bach through the carburetor. I held my hand over the opening for the intake air and it blew gas back on my hand. Can figure out what happened all of a sudden. It was cranking and was able to ride it running through all the gears. Now can get it to crank just blowing gas back to the air filter. Need help again. Starting to think I should have walked away from this one.
