1999 Arctic Cat 250 oil filter

I have an 99 Arctic cat 250 2x4, I want to change the oil in the spring next year and change the oil filter. I do know where the air filter is to change it and what type of oil it uses, BUT I do not know where the oil filter is or if it even has one.

It's no big emergency, it's just if anyone has the answer would you mind letting me know. Thanks

I believe that filter is a cartridge filter and you will not see it because it is inside covered by a plate with ususally 2 screws. The filter coes with a new rubber gasket for the plate. Look for a plate on the engine that has 2 screws top and bottom, sometimes 3, that's where it should be.

The oil filter cover is on the side of the motor, it has 3 nuts that hold it on and there is a bolt in the center to check the oil.
