2002 Kawasaki 650 Prairie Does Not Rev Up

My 650 was sitting for a while(1 year) put new gas and some additive in it. Can not ge it to rev up, only when the choke is on.

Guessing your carb is the problem, sticky float or clogged jet or 2, did you put additive in before it sat or after? After will do you no good!

put additive in before it sat. I'm thinking the additive didn't work and the fact that ethenol(sp) is in the gas now. Thanks

I would guess the same, sticky float, fuel starved.

I agree with the guys. they now have ethanol shield. I found it at our local wal- mart store. I don't see where it would help at this time but after you get it running you might want to use it.

What additive did you use. I use sta-bil and it's worked for me. I add it to my gas when ever i fill my container up. I run my lawn mower or what ever I put it in for about 15mins. and it's always been good to go when I go to use it. My quad doesn't get a rest but I do turn the fuel off and let it run till it quits running if it's going to be setting for a few weeks but thats rare.
