More of a friend of a friend wheels & deals in atvs & parts he bought a quad trade it for a rino out of pocket he ended up with 4,000 spent to get the rino & traded it even for an 2012 Brute Force 750. What a blast to ride!!! To bad I have empty pockets he resold the BF last night for 5,000 or 5,500 either way what a deal. I couldn't get over how smooth it rode & the power was extra sweet I'm still on cloud 9.5 if it were mine I would be on cloud 10.

yep it's pretty nice Ghost but i own an old prairie 650. The only other quads I had ever rode was in the 80's and it was a 230 quad racer. A buddy of mine has an older grizz 600 and I don't think I would trade my daughters E-ton 90 for it. But it sets more than it's rode and not very well taken care of so it to me doesn,t count when compairing what I've had a chance to ride. So at this time the BF at the top of my list. I know their is a lot more more quads that could make me just as happy to ride as the BF.

Thats what the owner of the BF said. He said he had a can-am but when the battery died on it he had to get something reprogrammed before you could start it and parts are not cheap or services. He said it was the fastest out of what he's owned but cost was too high for him so he sold it.

Hi, I have been around everything with a motor since I was little, and finally purchased more to get my husband, and kids involved. I have 4 quads I will be searching around for information on. I have two 2002 Suzuki LT80K quads, a 1997 Yamaha Timberwolf 250, and a 1996 Kawasaki Bayou 220. I have had different ones throughout the years, and plan on buying another Yamaha Banshee. I plan on trying to learn more about all of them, so I can customize some of them. I know nothing about them besides how to race them, my dad always took care of the rest, but figured it was time for me to learn.

I recently read an article about restoring or at least improving the looks of faded and discolored plastic body parts. In the article it suggested using a 50/50 mixture of boiled linseed oil and paint thinner. You mix it up and apply it with a brush or rag to rub it in and remove the oxidation. I curious to find out if anyone has had experience with doing this and what was their short/long term results of doing so. I would hate to try it and find out that a few weeks/months down the road my plastic body parts self destruct.

      Hello All
I'm kinda new to ATVs. I just bought a 1987 Suzuki quad runner 230 Dual Range. I'm having a problem finding info on it. It's very clean, only 2.800 miles. The front wheels are only 30 in.center to center. I was thinking about adding wheel spacers to give it more stability. I realize the added stress on ball joints and bearings. I'm wondering if there are any other concerns? Any input is greatly appreciated!

I'm trying to help a buddy out with his bike (he's not really on the internet or familiar with these forums) and I'll admit that I am not super familiar with the transmission and clutches in these bikes. I owned a Brute a few years ago, but never had an issue like this that I had to troubleshoot.
So basically my buddy bought a group lot of 650's to build one good bike out of. He got it all put together and has it running but when he pushes on the throttle the clutch doesn't engage till the RPM's are quite high and even when its moving it doesn't really speed up, almost seems like its in "limp mode". He's tried 2 different transmissions so I don't think that's the problem.
Is there any adjustment on the clutch engagement? Anything else I can tell him to look at? Let me know if you need anymore information if you think you can help.
