My ATV only starts when in full choke even after I let it warm up and ride around I try to lower the choke but will end up stalling. I just put seafoam in the gas tank and will try that out first in about 15 min. I'm just worried that when it gets cold I'll have issues. Also, when I try to lower the choke after being warmed up I hear no difference in the idle. Is there a way to adjust this?

Side question, when I do stall and im in gear its hard to go back into neutral to start it up again. I tried rocking back and forth but that didnt work. After 3 min it went into neutral smoothly.

First Welcome to Quad Crazy.

I would check and make sure you have the airbox lid on properly and there are no leaks from there to the carb. Then check the tank and make sure your fuel filter is not plugged or the bottom of the tank. Sometimes on plastic tanks some of the cut plastic can get in the lines and the jets.

The sea foam is great stuff but you really have to run a tank of gas or so before you start seeing the benifits.

Third I would hold off on adjusting the carb until you tried everything else, if it ran fine before then I would just clean the carb and not adjust it. Check the jets and see if they have anything in them.

For your other question, alot of quads have the start in gear feature, try holding the brake (Make sure the brake light comes on) and starting the quad.

had it, in a folder ...

Awesome, thanks. I just joined and found this and the owner's and service manual you posted. I just bought a used '07 Big Bear 250 and was looking for these docs. Do you have the service manual for the 2007 Big Bear 400 4x4? I have the owner manual since I bought it new but it would be great if I had the service manual too.

Thanks again, great info on here.

2022 Sector 550, 414 miles on it and the gas gauge reads empty.  I topped off the gas and it didn't change.
There is no fuse that I could find.  No access at the gauge cluster.
Wiring on the top of the tank looks good, properly connected.
Could the sending unit in the tank be stuck or broken?
Has anybody removed the tank lid?  Any tricks?
      Any other ideas?
      Thanks for any help,
      Clyde

1996 4x4 Timberwolf rearend width. Can someone with some knowledge of these machines answer this question for me please. Are all 4x4 timberwolves this narrow in the rearend? These tires are so close the right one actually rubs the muffler.  Thinking about seeing if there are any spacers out there for it. I need at least an inch more clearance.

      Hi everyone.
Let me explain the thread title.
My husband and I are very active in the nudist community, and we have stayed at many and most of the mainstream nudist and clothing optional campgrounds in the USA. We are now approaching our retirement and would like to start a podcast to share those off the road / backwoods / little known camping areas where nudity is allowed. We have purchased a 5th wheel camping trailer with a rear garage for the ATV and now need some good reports on the one to buy.
We are most interested in a side by side unit but would love to get your thoughts.
Feel free to stop by and say Hi and ask anything you would like to better understand what we are looking for in an offroad unit.
Thanks for reading and hope to hear from you.

Have a 1998 AC 300 2x4, Just installed a new carburetor. Engine starts easy but the choke RPMs are very hi and take along time (5-10 mins when cold out). After engine has warmed up choke releases and it idles and runs fine., It does no have an electric choke. The choke lever is never used and it seems like an auto choke? Long story short, how can I lower the choke rpm levels?

Also, carb came with a spare145 jet, not 100% sure what is installed. Could this impact choke RPMs?

Any help and information greatly appreciated.
