sticky throttle on my '01 honda 400ex

I am having trouble with my throttle releasing too slowly. I recently installed a brand new carb and throttle cable. I have good throttle response but when i let off it slowly idles down. I have lubed my cable and checked for binds in the cable. when I take the cable loose from the throttle drum, both the cable and the throttle drum operate properly but when I put the two together it malfunctions. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I am pulling my hair out here! lol

Is there a vent hole in the cap on the carb where the cable mounts?? It almost sounds to me like it's creating a vacuum in between the cap and barrel. makin the slide release slowly. I've see this happen on older snowmobile round slide carbs. Whe they ice up it slows throttle release dramatically.

      This 2006 ArticCat dvx400 didn't have a reverse cable. I got one and am wondering how it routes? If someone has a dvx400, could post a pic of there reverse cable routing, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

      Cannot find out why 12 vdc  4 (4) commutator starter motor has no power. It will run full speed without load. But with any load will not turn. Repaired broken brush holder and insulated an internal wire to magnet that was bare and rubbing. cleaned commutator segments. Ohm readings while slowly rotating commutator was 1 ohm.   When attempting to run  with load it will not turn and Bat vdc only pulls down to12vdc. Cannot find an internal wiring schematic.  I can buy a rebuild kit ~$35 but WTH?

      Okay so I bought this 1997 sazuki king quad from a guy and he had it for a few years. 
      He had it registered and on the trails last year but he said it bogged and backfired when he would try to drive it. so it sat for a year. 
      I bought it for 800 bucks and got it running that night and it ran great for a few days 
      But I parked it the other night and went to start it again and it was really hard to fire up and when I did it was bogging and idling high then low again.
      So I took the carb out and cleaned it (ended up doing it twice because it was still doing the same thing) 
      Now today I have it running slightly better, but it is still like 20% 
      I have been looking it up and trying to figure it out but I can't find the issue, has anyone else had this problem? I'll attach a video of it running and giving some throttle

      2007 Hond fore 500 4x4 es trouble after top end rebuild

      I rebuilt the top end on my 2007 Honda Trx500fe. It ran fine right after the rebuilt. But now when I try to crank it it blows Bach through the carburetor. I held my hand over the opening for the intake air and it blew gas back on my hand. Can figure out what happened all of a sudden. It was cranking and was able to ride it running through all the gears. Now can get it to crank just blowing gas back to the air filter. Need help again. Starting to think I should have walked away from this one.
