Sorry I suck at these forums so if you see this submitted under update status, my bad. Anyhow this is a new shock for a 96 Yamaha Kodiak 400 4x4 it fits my 96 Yamaha Timberwolf 250 4x4 perfectly. Little narrower are the bottom than the original but everything else is perfect. I extended it to almost a half in from full extension because I’m pushing 350 pounds.  It rides and hold me well. So if any of y'allRace driven shock. have been looking for one and didn’t want to do the research here it is.

I have a 2017 Alterra 500 TRV and get conflicting info from the manuals.  The operators manual refers to 5 settings on the shock for adjustment.  The service manual makes no mention of this.  Which is right?  If adjustable do you need a special spanner to adjust?

Trouble finding 24mm bearing for the top mounting bolt of my 2008 YFZ450 Special Edition ATV rear shock. Most bearings kits sold are 27mm. Anybody know where I can get this bearing? I am specifically searching to find the bearing kit for the top of the shock absorber. Tried Pivot Works 52-0792 as well as All Balls 29-5043, but both come with 27mm outside diameter needle bearing where my ATV uses a 24mm bearing. Yamaha does not sell this replacement bearing, instead they suggest buying a new shock absorber entirely, which I think is ridiculous. I had a friend remove bearing from a similar ATV, photo of which I have attached. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Does anyone have pictures of when they replaced the rear shock on their Prairie? Did you replace nuts and bolts or use the old ones?
