there is a random black rubber button on the front fairings left hand side (pretty much by my knee) and i have no idea what it does. if i press it the starter relay starts clicking wildly. i should point out that iv never had the engine running as i have a few other things needing fixed before i start on that hence my confusion. its also not mentioned in the owners manual. any ideas?

i did a bit more digging and found that the starter relay has been hardwired to the battery through that button, fu** only knows why though as the bike comes with a key. would doing this bypass the safety switches as apparently these bike are notorious for electric problems. other than that i cant see any other reason for doing it :S

      Hi all,
Looking for some help on a starter/bendix issue. Can Am outlander 450 2017. While cranking to start, the starter spins and engages into the ring gear. After a few seconds the bendix retracts while still spinning and there is no damaged teeth on the drive pulley.

The one I need to replace has a 2 wire plug coming out of it. Searching eBay I see tons of them with only 1 wire . WTH???

I have a 1997 Yamaha Big Bear 350 4x4. It used to start right up. Then all of a sudden it wouldn't crank. I have a schematic for it so I started tracing the problem. I had no power at the starter solenoid. According to the schematic the power comes from the neutral switch and through the starter circuit cut out relay. I cannot locate the cut out relay on this machine.. If I apply power to the relay it will crank with the start button.
The neutral switch is hard to get to with all the brackets on this thing. I did find out from all my research that if I apply the rear brake lever it will start.
Does anybody know if the cut out relay exists and where it might be found?

      Hey everyone,
I’m having an issue with my 2021 Polaris Sportsman 570 – the engine keeps stalling after running for about 10–15 minutes. I’ve checked the air filter, spark plug, and fuel lines, but can’t seem to find the root of the problem. It starts up just fine, but then loses power suddenly.
Has anyone experienced a similar issue with this model/year? Would appreciate any advice or troubleshooting tips you’ve tried that worked. Thanks in advance for your help!
