2001 Polaris Scrambler 500

Recommended Posts

do i buy the 2x4 or 4x4 this is my personal opinion please don't comment all negative things

I have a 2x4 polaris scrambler and in my opinion its SOMETIMES the better buy because its usually cheaper less to repair if 4x4 goes out and lighter weight which equals higher top speed aka a faster bike i have never got in a situation were i couldn't get out of it because i had a 2x4 ever i am a very experience rider though if your not you might want the 4x4 the 4x4 is way heavier than the 2x4 obviously SHOW ME YOU SCRAMBLER UPLOAD SOME PICS

I was looking into getting a Scrambler to upgrade from my TB250. I would definitely go for the 4x4. The Scramblers are pretty sporty in either model, so I wouldn't mind the extra weight of the 4x4 just for the ability to try some of the stuff I stay away from now. I ride by myself for the most part so if I get stuck its up to me to get out. I have put myself in some situations that I wish I have 4 wheel drive instead of 2 feet push. Like you said though it is basically your decision and what you need for your riding style.

Hello I’m new here and was wondering is anyone knew of good replacement part numbers for front struts and rear shocks for this atv? I think I’ve found a new rear shock, that looks like the original but there is no dimensions or anything and was wondering if there are any afterMarket new front struts available. I know it’s a long shot but any help would be appreciated.

1996 4x4 Timberwolf rearend width. Can someone with some knowledge of these machines answer this question for me please. Are all 4x4 timberwolves this narrow in the rearend? These tires are so close the right one actually rubs the muffler.  Thinking about seeing if there are any spacers out there for it. I need at least an inch more clearance.

I have been exploring all the options available, so many, its hard to choose. I have kind of narrowed it down to the Honda Pilot, Subaru Outback, and Kind of looking at the Outlander, although its a little small,  the new one is nice looking. Just wondering if anyone has any recommendations or gripes with any of these rides. I have driven Jeeps for the past 25  years and they have been great, but their price point has gotten to high. Expieriences good or bad would be helpful. Thanks!

Have a 1998 AC 300 2x4, Just installed a new carburetor. Engine starts easy but the choke RPMs are very hi and take along time (5-10 mins when cold out). After engine has warmed up choke releases and it idles and runs fine., It does no have an electric choke. The choke lever is never used and it seems like an auto choke? Long story short, how can I lower the choke rpm levels?

Also, carb came with a spare145 jet, not 100% sure what is installed. Could this impact choke RPMs?

Any help and information greatly appreciated.
