I had to know because a camping trailer I built used a winch and battery with no charging system that lowered itself down the side of a mountain for camping then needed enough battery capacity to lift itself back out after the weekend, so I had to find the most efficient winch.

wow what is strong enough to anchor a load like that???

and randy will you please take some pictures specifically of the house style plug wiring and of the trailer you use for dirt ?

I'm also interested in how you load the dirt into the trailer.

I've been using a harbor freight 2500 and the line is achingly slow but the keychain is awesome and it has worked for all 10mins total ive needed it in the 2 years ive owned it!

I used a tree on the other side of the trail to back it down the hill about 20 ft then hooked up a static cable while I reroute the winch cable to another tree to continue backing it down the 200ft hill to the campsite.

It's just a house style outdoor receptacle with 2 outlets.  One is connected to the battery for charging and the other to the winch controller.  I can plug in the rear winch to pull logs or plug in the trailer to dump loads and use the same controller for both.

Hi guys, I was given a 2000 Honda Recon fourtrax 250 (I think that's the full name lol). The previous owner had it sitting for a while before I got it. It sat for another few years in my ownership. I got it up and going on its first test drive today!! I was wondering where everyone buys their parts from?  Coming from the car community, we have sites like RockAuto and many more. Anything like that for quads? Also would like to be pointed in a direction, if possible, for plastics. I am missing a few and would like to have it complete. I appreciate any input!

So here's a topic for anything goes forum and to get a way from the china virus stuff...lol. Has anyone been noticing the small drips of news about ufos and the government confirming? President Obama has an interesting late night segment. How warm and fuzzy do you feel when an ex-gov official confirms objects in the sky they can't explain...

I have a Yamaha Timberwolf 4x4 250. I want to put a winch on it, but just wondering if the charging system will handle it or not ? Has anyone added one to their machine and have you had any issues?
