I just bought this quad having an issue with the valve for the fuel. When I got the quad I could not turn the valve at all. I take it apart when it's turned to the on position or reserve I get no fuel The only way I can get you a lot of it is the vacuum or remove the spring on the diaphragm. If I remove the spring fuel flows freely matter what the setting is. Can this be rebuilt or is put together wrong

You have a vacuum operated fuel valve. The diaphragm opens up the fuel valve when it gets suck from the carb. No suck: it stops fuel delivery. Its meant to be automatic shutoff when the machine is not running. The spring operates a poppet shutoff valve. Removing the spring doesnt close the poppet allowing fuel to flow. The PRI position actually bypasses all this and feeds fuel directly.

Your problem might be not getting suck from the carb or the poppet is stuck closed.

I dont like these because the diaphragm can leak and you end up sucking fuel into the carb causing an overly rich condition. Ive replaced those on my machines with a standard ON OFF RES valves.

Ive never seen a rebuild kit for them. You can look around. Otherwise get the standard valve, or put it together again and make sure the poppet works right. Also you can just run it in PRI, always on position.

Hi all. I have a timberwolf 250 2nd that will not start.. I thought it was out of time bc the guy I got it from said it just quit on him. The tensioner had a nut welded to it and it was like2 teeth off. I installed new tensioner and chain and it still will not start. It has fire and it will not hit off brake cleaner. It has compression. Haven't put a gauge but I'm sure it will crank and run with what it has. I double checked my work and it's still in time. Spot on. Both valves move. I'm about to put a feeler gauge on them and I'll cone back but other than that any ideas?

on my honda trx 500 we have no power to the ignition switch for starting or ignition
we have lights and horn working
      all fuses are fine
have traced through the harness and cant find any broken wires or bad connections
from what we have gathered so far the pgm fi unit is not sending any power to the fuel pump relay to power everything up.
if we put power direct to the ignition switch plug then everything works but wth the key in the off position.
does this sound like a faulty pgm fi unit?

Guys, I've got a 1999 Honda Foreman 450S.  It runs great, but smokes out the exhaust after startup until it warms up.  I'm thinking the valve seals are leaking.  I was wondering if there is a way to replace them without removing the head or if there's an oil additive that will recondition the rubber seals.  Any advice?

      Hey everyone,
I’m having an issue with my 2021 Polaris Sportsman 570 – the engine keeps stalling after running for about 10–15 minutes. I’ve checked the air filter, spark plug, and fuel lines, but can’t seem to find the root of the problem. It starts up just fine, but then loses power suddenly.
Has anyone experienced a similar issue with this model/year? Would appreciate any advice or troubleshooting tips you’ve tried that worked. Thanks in advance for your help!

After i did my rebuild it seems to not want to shift well. I think the cable is alright, and when it does shift its nice and solid. I have to basically use my hand to shift and i have to pull or push it very far, like max travel, to get it to shift. I also tried adjusting the clutch set screw. Any ideas where to go next, or maybe i should just grab a new cable to try.
