Carb leaking gas out the overflow port 2003 Artic Cat 400

Sometimes gas will drip to almost steady flow out of the port in the bottom of the carb bowl. Ive taken the carb apart and bent the float, but still, from time to time, gas pours or just drips out. Any ideas?

Something is preventing the float needle from closing off. Could be a bit of debris inside

It was, I replaced the float needle and that didnt cure it, so I used a q-tip to clean the seat where the needle closes against and that did the trick.

Ethanol!

Shut the fuel off and let the carb run dry when done riding. That should help.

I (and alot of others) are switching to non ethanol gas because of this problem.
