1999 Yamaha Bear Tracker - Leaking Shifter Shaft Seal

Title says it all. When I researched part it shows it does not exist anymore, discontinued. What can I do to stop the leak? Is there somewhere else I should be looking for part? The leak is coming from where shifter goes through seal, not around outside of seal between case and seal.

Im sure if you had an old one or the size of the shaft and you know what it looks like, you could go to a bearing shop, even Napa or the like and get one ... just because Yamaha doesnt offer it anymore, doesnt mean that it isnt made for another application ... just sayin
