So after I finally got out and rode some better trails and some mud time I have been seriously thinking about adding a better tire and rim. Bigger and better for mud as well as tough terrain. I have been looking around and can’t make my mind up. Im sure @mikeexplorer @Yamaha Grizzly @Gunny @06kfx440 @Ajmboy as well as many more members have opinions and more importantly a few different vendors that I can take a look at for pricing and availability! Im looking at a 25 inch tire as a maximum without having to lift it or do any suspension work. While I'm on the topic I’m interested in snorkels! Yes I'm (we as in my oldest boy) are thinking about going deep! Kinda hooked on the mudding, water and crazy trail riding.

Hey Gary. Try to raise the wheels off of the ground and see if it goes in. Just curious.

Took it out yesterday. Still sputters at 20mph. Think I need to change the TPS. I looked online and some people have made their own testers. I don't feel like going through that effort. I'll change the switch and take it to an independent shop guy in my town for testing. Got a good ride in at the Knik Glacier gravel bar even though it was slow. First time I was able to ride our "new" sportsman. I like it.

Did you get any reading from each wire to ground ?

Shocks you can pick up on eBay relatively cheap as well as the starter clutch. The drive clutch issue could be an adjustment or just may need a new one all together. Just need to figure out if it’s the primary or not. But that’s easy enough to figure out. The bayou I picked up also sat for about 5 years. Owner was getting up there in age and he said the electrical crapped out. It was the neutral safety switch that was bad but man the amount of water and the elements this bike was exposed to. I had to drain it down and flush everything out and wash the heck out of it. Grease and oil all fittings and she was good as new. Over all I think it’s a great bike.
