When it does shift does it bang into the gear or is it smooth? Does it matter if you are accelerating or decelerating?

Has anybody cleaned up/repaired cables that were s bit sticky? If so how?

I like to use a ramp or something to get the machine elevated and a power washer on a low setting as to not cause issues with electronics.

No pictures but you can normally salvage the nut and bolt, use some WD-40 or something to loosen corrosion a while before breaking the bolt loose to prevent galling.

What are you using for a tubing bender and notcher?

I am in the beginning stages of restoring a 1986 TRX 70 and am looking for ideas to bring this back to operating condition. Please see my list below and let me know if you have any tips for parts or items to look into. it supposedly runs but I haven't tried starting it yet. Engine Oil Change check/set valves rebuild carb Cables - most cables are seized - any ideas on replacements or companies that make new cables for a reasonable price Front and rear plastics seat cover and foam - I may just purchase foam and shape myself (does anybody know what weight foam to use?) Exhaust is rusty but may be ok This ATV was purchased by my grandparents new when my cousins and I were very young and wanted to bring it back to life for my kids. Thanks for everybody's help!
