  1. Ok, we are all agreeing on Tall Pines? End of September would be better for me. I have 2 birthdays( weekends) and my anniversay in the middle of October. Or even beginning November is ok.

Most likely it will be Me and I can prolly get Mark there too. Maybe also a 3rd rider but not sure.

Well I figured if I did not pick a place and time to at least talk about we would never get anywhere.

Tall Pines seems like the best fit for the location and insurance requirements. If we tend to be getting more members from one specific area we can always move the ride closer to them.

Any week in October would work for me. What weekend do you have free in October?

  2. I called Joe at Tall Pines to see what is new and what other things will be going on at the farm. I wanted to see how cold it will be camping also. As soon as he calls me back I will share the info. If we ride at tall pines we can spend the weekend there and there sure is enough going on to keep busy. For those who don't ride the farm will be in fall mode with pumpkins and a corn maze.

I have personally rode there and can vouch for the trails. This meets our requirements of a central location, no insurance required, and camping/cabin/hotel options.

Lets plan this for the earliest date in October and see who can make it.

Who can make it during the 2nd week of October? The 12th thru the 14th this is right after Columbus Day weekend.

Post your name and if you are definitely attending or maybe attending below with a head count. I will work on group discounts when the time gets closer and we know how many are attending.

  3. This is how people felt about kymco a few years ago. Now they are flooding the market. Like I said, I am a happy camper if I can get decent customer service and parts when needed. My Arctic Cat, Kawasaki, and Can-Am all need repairs from time to time. Everyone will have their favorites but all that matters is what you like to ride.

  4. Here is the key deciding factor and I may have said it already. I do this every time I buy an ATV. On speakerphone with the dealer in the room call the customer service number with a made up problem and see how you are treated. Then call and try to order an easy part such as a bearing or starter. If you can't get parts that separates the cheap Chinese stuff from the quality ones. See how soon you can get the part and how you are treated. The brand does not mean anything if the service is not there.

OH BTW Travellerw welcome to quad crazy! And thanks for your input.

  5. Make sure the shaft does not have any up and down/ side to side play. That can mean a warn bearing. Also take some steel wool and clean the surface of the shaft where the seal meets with the shaft to remove any sharp material. Just lightly you do not want to reduce the od of the shaft. Also if the fluid heats up a lot the fluid can be forced past the seal. Make sure the vent line to the rear diff is also open (if there is one) to alleviate any pressure.
