you really do a lot of work to make sure people have places to ride.
I just want to make sure that when I have kids they can have some places to ride and explore like I did all my life. When I was young you could literally ride anywhere you wanted on a quad, there days it is easier to trailer.

Could the shifter fork be bent? Did you take it apart to look in there or are you going to try the easy stuff first?
-
Is it getting enough fuel from the tank? Check the fuel filter.

Thanks for sharing the pics. She definitely has a permanent smile from riding in the first pic.
-
Thanks I forgot to mention I flipped the quad and tore a hole in my arm. They flipped the quad off of me before anyone could get a photo. The cuts were pretty bad and I don't think I am going to post them here.
-
Thanks again Tom for all of your support!
-
Thanks for that idea Mike better than waiting on the mailman.
-
Yep Mike good advice if the battery does not hold a charge.

its has fresh fluid in it...i just finished replace both outter cvj's and had the half shafts out. the fluid that came out of the front diff was extremely clean...i was impressed and relieved when i saw it. the rear axle is solid. i did not check tire sizes last night when i got home. ill check tonite though. what kind of slime do yall recommend filling the tires with
It should be normal for a little drag then. Heck my 2012 can am has a clunk in the clutch and so do all the other models, I guess they are just normal operating quarks.

Glad to see you on board Tom. I really enjoyed checking out some of your older pics in the gallery.

I think we can work around that. Lets see who we can get to go and then we can pick a place. It will be nice for camping during the fall also.
-
LOL so did you revieve at OHV tag or is it a plate?
-
I am throwing this out there to see if anyone is intrested in trying to get together for a ride this fall in either PA or NY. I say we start throwing some dates around and see who can attend. Once we find the date the we can pick a centeralized place based on who is going.
So who things they can make it sometime in September or October. And where do you want to ride?:cheers2c:
-
So did you get out on the track yet? How about the new bike?

After we got back from the charity ride and the DCNR Seminar I started planning for the bras for a cause ride, working on a Yamaha Grant and looking for a few places to race the Cat. I also help with a cleanup on the same trail system recieving the grant.

With me being in and out of the forums so much I just wanted to start a post and let you know what I was up to when I wasn't here being a mod.
Over the winter months I pretty much hung out in the shop and online. Not riding much. I did get to meet up with the coal country riders at Motorama.
I took some time in the winter to clean up the quads and fix anything needed for the upcoming riding season.
Like cleaning the clutch and fixing a warn coolant hose on the AC H1.
I also added ammo boxes for storage not knowing they will save my butt in another month or so.
I changed the brakes and fluids on the AC 500.
And a front bearing
At the wifes request she got her seat recovered
Then I ended up trading the teryx for a new commander.
I fixed the light on the trailer from the tall pines incident and we are ready to roll!
The first event was Trail Jam at the Lost trails where we met a few friends from ATV Illustriated, Power Sports Marketing, and On the Trail TV. We also helped with the poker run.
Next we headed to Tall Pines ATV Park in Andover NY.
Right about now the weather was perfect for riding and I wanted to ride like every weekend. Besides the rides I spent some time learning about trail maintenance and economic impacts of trail systems by visiting the AOAA and the Bald Eagle State Forest. I was able to meet those who are working on the AOAA, Lance who wrote for quad mag and alot of DCNR people in charge of maintaining and managing the forests.
Then we attended the Renovo Cruise for a Cure organized by Centeral Mountian ATV along with Bucktail medical center relay for life. It was about a 50 mile ride connecting Renovo to the Bloody Skillet. We camped at Whiskey Springs and ended up riding there, Bloody Skillet, and the connector trail to SSRT.

I am a always a big fan of seeing if it will turn over without the plug in and less compression. I would charge the battery and check the connections as OX said and then pull the plug and see if you can crank it over.
-
Like ox said, you really need to determine what the plugs look like to find out the cause. Below is a decent guide to get some direction..
This chart is very helpful.
-
Good luck on future races. I am glad to see you are starting to dial it in.
-
This also makes it alot easier to see if a topic has already been addressed on the forums.

With full time 4WD it is similar to the back two tires being interconnected all of the time. When you turn the one wheel spins faster than the other so one tire has to spin on the pavement while the other one travels slower. You just have to be careful not to stress out the drive train with all time 4WD. The other tires spining faster will increase tire wear and be harder on the drive train but should not break anything. I plow in 4X4 on pavement all of the time.
-
If it is off of the machine I thing you will have to supply 12V to the smaller relay wire and then see if you can measure continuity across the starter and 12V larger wire.
-
Have fun I always wanted to make a trip there.

Check for the parts availability first. Scan ebay and craigs list for the best deals. I think having a project quad is a good deal especially if you are particular on how things are laid out.
