That's some bad luck, you have officially rode te snot out of them!
-
Good Morning Everyone!

There should also be a smaller 12volt wire running to it that comes from the ignition, does that wire have power when the key is turned on?
-
That might save him some cash.

I misunderstood you. I thought there was no fluid coming out at every caliper. Could the calipers be frozen?
I recently learned a trick that may not apply to your case, if you have brakes that are on again and off again it may be a bad bearing as the wheel rotates off center it pushes the caliper out the be soft until they are pumped up again.

I would try using this type of bleeder and see if it helps. Brake Bleeder & Brake Bleeder Vacuum Pump Kit
If not maybe there is debris in the lines.

The best bet is to find a friend who knows his way around a keihin and see if he will let you watch him clean it. The next time around you can disassemble and let him put it back together. Get rid of the screws on the bowl and trade then in for some allen heads while you are in there.

Glad to hear you got it going!

Good morning everyone! Time to start leaving comments.

Check the connections and make sure you had the polarity right. Even if you hooked it up wrong for one second you might have fried something. Hook up the battery and see if you have power at the solenoid.
-
Do you have anyaftermarket mods done to the mud pro? Also I just want to be sure and ask if there is any water in the snorkels or CVT. Because it is EFI I would have to guess your valves have to be adjusted. A fouled plug or bad fuel might also be something easy to check.

Good Luck! My only advice is don't wait a year before you start racing. Start at some local amateur events and participate even if you loose bad you still gained some experience on the track and at the line.

I love 3 Wheelers I want to buy one and rebuild it. Great Pics.

Good Morning Everyone.
Willy that's awsome! I am still unpacking from last weekend and should be ready to go this weekend by Friday Afternoon.

I know what you mean, they are totally diffrent than sport quads. I think the 1000 would be nice if you wanted to go with bigger tires.
-
When I had jetting problems the main jet was too small and the quad would run fine until it was under load and calling for alot more fuel. I would say give the carb a good cleaning while you are in there checking the belt.
-
I agree with MQR above, remove the CV boots and clean out the joints and regrease. You can get a banding kit cheap and reuse the old boots if there are no tears in them.
-
Good Morning. Is everyone excited about riding this weekend?
-
Message returned. I will keep my eyes out for one.

Good Morning!

The EZ Out is really hard to drill out I never thought of heating it. Instead of replacing the head is it something you can remove and then get under a drill press. That would help keep metal shavings out of your engine. I would say the JB weld is a good backup but I would not go that route if you don't have to. You can also drill and tap the next size larger bolt and just make the hole in the thermostat cover larger also if you can manage to center it right. If memory serves me correctly there is not a lot of pressure in the cooling system.

I renamed the title of the thread to help others find it. What year is your quad?
I would say you have debris in your brakes or a CV joint going bad. If you put it in 4WD and turn the wheel to drive in a tight circle left and right do you hear clicking?
-
Or maybe a can am renegade 1000, that should have some pick-up.
It does look like you guys had a good time!
-
Glad you got the problem solved!

I think you might not even need a 20amp fuse just check what size your ignition fuse is. Maybe a 10 or 15 amp.
The reason why they run the switch through the ignition is so that it can not be accidently activated, for a while there a few quad fires occurred from bad contactors. Also when you are winching you draw a lot of power from the battery and should have the quad running anyway if possible.
