  1. I have loved the big horns I got, great for plowing snow and hunting in Ontario. I would buy them again. Depends what you want to do with the quad?

2007-2012 Yamaha big bear 400 4x4 irs service manual YFM40FBW
  4. Ya I guess I should just break down and buy one. It would save lots of headaches later I need to make room I the garage to have a warmer place to work on it.
  5. Thanks for the feedback everyone. I went with the big horn 2’s. I got yamaha Viking take off for a great price.
  6. Thanks for your response davefrombc, but it looks like the older switches were on the outside of the engine/transmission but in 2007 there was changes when it went to irs. So I think it got moved and there is no manual that I can find for 2007 or newer?
  7. I need to figure out how to clean/fix or replace my neutral switch assembly On my 2008 Yamaha big bear 400 as generally the neutral light doesn’t come on when it is in neutral. To get it to come on I have to wiggle the foot shifter and hold it in just the right spot. I have googled it and can’t find much on the 400’s. I can’t find a service manual online and the parts manual is super vague. I think it is in the right side engine cover area, but not certain. Any help would be great. thanks Scott
  8. Well that I don’t know as I am new to Atv ownership. I bought the quad for hunting which is a bit of everything depending on the weather?
  9. Thanks, I bought Maxxis big horn 2.0’s (take off from a Yamaha Viking) which I learned after I bought them that they are different then off the rack big horn 2.0’s which is a piss off. Apparently the Yamaha ones are 4 ply rears and 2 ply fronts instead of 6 ply like the off the rack and the take offs are biased and not radials... That doesn’t make sense to me and is a piss off but I guess it is to save Yamaha money and mislead buyers.. atleast I got them for a good price.
  10. Hey guys I am looking on input on the Itp MUD LITE XTR and the Maxxis BIG HORN 2 They are both radials. I am looking for them for my 2008 YAMAHA BIG BEAR 400 For hunting and light trail riding in Ontario Thanks in advance Scott
